You live to fight another day

Welcome and your Finglish is superb. I’m so jealous of people who can speak/write/vaguely understand another language. Enjoy the site

That first picture needs cropping, Guy 😂

I like 70s jazz basses because of the different rear pickup placement which gives a unique sound especially for the odd popped note. I should have news on that front and be able to show you mine soon...

Thanks a very lovely review indeed

It’ll probably be genuine leopard then

Thanks @Reggaebass I’ve merged my thread into this one!

I was messing about with my phone camera and was quite impressed with how close it can focus (with a combination of 2x optical zoom and some cropping). I’m pretty sure I’ve seen someone post close up pics of flats before so thought it might be fun to compare them. Was it you @wateroftyne? Anyway here are some Labella 760fx Feel free to add yours! The closer the better.

Can't access "Gear" section on phone.

Sorry bad joke - insinuating that your significant other might have blocked access on your phone! No issues to report our end, perhaps try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps... Cheers have a nice weekend -

Are you married? -
I think it's a different sort of 'bright' - more of a toppy 'glassy' attack from maple than the 'zing' a new string makes. You can even hear it with flats, perhaps more so. One of the reasons I like maple board P basses is because it helps give those octave pops a bit more snap.

I’m sure you know the rules - you’re not allowed to post your own adverts here 😉😂

Several glasses of it makes me round and punchy

I suppose the thing is that some of us have probably played tens or even hundreds of Precision basses (as an example) over the years and have found that maple is brighter on average. It would seem to bear out from peoples observations generally. As for the second part - the audience can't tell the difference - I think we all agree that we don't play bass for the audience alone and enjoy the minutiae that makes playing bass or any instrument such a passion.

107 to be exact - I have 87 so far and presume some will but two or more and some won't buy any, so need a few more to reach the goal. I'm also looking at another supplier so it may already be 'past the post'
