1. Deeply personal stuff, I wouldn't knock anyone for liking what they do. How do you pick just one, they all have merit for different reasons. I'd have to go for the Double White, just for the diversity of the songs, eg, from Revolution No9 to Honey Pie to Obla Di, but it wouldn't be my favourite, but favourite isn't the question is it?
2. Ooops, another "trouser" moment GLWTS for a beautiful bass.
3. I've got an SR305 and an SRF700 neck thro' fretless. Only had the SRF for a week or so and haven't really had a chance to bond with it yet, but will rehearse with it tonight. Before I bought the 305, I played a few different Ibby 4s and 5s in different shops and each one was spot on.
4. Is FlatEric sawing up Steinies and Hohners to make The Rail copies. I think the moveable pickup idea is still being utilised, but can't for the life of me remember by whom.
5. The Sennheisers have cured the problem thanks. That adaptor would have worked I'm sure, but no need now. Thanks for your help chaps.
6. Just received a 2 x 10 cab from Dunc. Deal was struck on Sunday, Dunc notified me Monday that it had been collected, and it arrived midday on Tuesday well packaged and safe, Very pleasant and easy transaction with great comms. Buy or sell with confidence from this member.
7. Ive got a cheapo fretless with well past it flats on, and another cheapo with well past it rounds on. The old flats are very forgiving so you don't hear how bad my intonation is, the rounds are a real wake up call.
8. In at the deep end. You'll learn so much. Have fun.

10. Points read and taken, thanks chaps. Have ordered some Sennheisers, we'll see if they're any better. Silly me bought the Berhringers. Behringer sell bass gear and will understand how to make headphones work with a bass amp, right??? Wrong!!!
11. Anyone had problems getting stereo phones to work in a mono socket, for example an amp? I've got Behringer phones with the dual size stereo jack, and when using as 1/4" or the smaller size I have to fiddle around and get the plug an exactly the right position for them to work, ie they don't work when pushed right in and have to be sort of halfway in to work. Perhaps the phone are rubbish, they weren't expensive but it would still be nice if they worked ok. Thanks Phil
12. I've played in Denmark Street a few times. Maidenhead that is.
13. No RR, 'twas longer ago than that. But I'll have a read through that one. Thanks
14. Think I remember a thread 2 or 3 months ago where the OP was seeking advice on a parcel he didn't receive and he suspected that his neighbours had it. Could somebody post me a link to it please as I might have the same problem. Ta awfully
15. Thanks chaps, yes I completely understand you Matt. I currently have one lined and two unlined fretless basses and the unlined have the side markers where the frets would be. I would certainly go for lined if I were defretting, be confusing otherwise. In retrospect though, the bass I was thinking about defretting is probably best left fretted, as apart from a Hohner Headless and a rather nice acoustic bass, it's the best useable fretted bass I've got. I think I'll have a go at setting it up instead. Cue new "help" thread...... Thanks again guys.
16.
http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/mikeoranage/Mobile%20Uploads/710F1D23-E0B6-46C5-94F0-8BB94777ED7D_zpsawnioigv.jpg
Is that your work mrn?
17. Thanks both. I really would love to do it myself but just not capable. Thanks Romeo, that's exactly what I wanted to know.
18. If there's a thread already, please put me a link up. If not........ assuming Sir isn't very delicate with his mits, and was thinking about getting this done for him, any idea of a ballpark price to help decide if it's worth it on a particular bass? I'd love to be able to do it myself, but I'm a steel and hammers man and not cut out for delicate woodwork.
19. Very nice rig. I have a Yorkville head which I believe is from the same camp, but not in that class. The map in the ad shows it as being located in the English Channel. Phil, PS, I keep MY scrotum close to hand.
20. Sorry, I can't buy that, but I reckon that is STUNNING!
