1. Witchita Lineman singing star, Glen Campbell was named thus after his mum conceived during a holiday to the Scottish Highlands.
2. Talking of shouty pop queens, Whitney Houston never used a microphone when in concert, and her rendition of "I will always love you" would often see members of the audience in the first 50 rows rushing for the exits with blood streaming from their ears. Pete Townshend always tried to be "Louder than Whitney" but the Hi-Watt stacks were never quite up to it.
3. Early 70's hippy songstress Melanie was so enthusiastic on her diet of takeaways that when she heard Mick and Keef's "Ruby Tuesday", she just had to record it. She followed this smash hit with "Chinese Wednesday", "Kebab Thursday", "Pizza Friday" and "Brand New Key" when her voice dropped and she was unable to hit the high notes any more.
4.
John Lennon and Macca first met when John got a summer holiday job at the McCartney family's quarry. The two young musicians got on so well that they decided to form a band and call it the Stonemasons.
And.... Was that before or after they had the corner shop on Stella Street?
5.
I heard Mick and Keef worked there too and their suggestion of "The Rolling Stonemasons" caused their swift departure to another Quarry across the Mersey
Drat!!! I was saving that gem for later!

7. The Bonzo Dog Dado Band first got together as a team off expert picture rail fitters who liked to play trad. jazz on their nights off. Their management decided to drop the "Dado" from their name and great fame and fortune ensued.
8. In the 60's, Robert Johnson was a top TV theme tune writer. His catchy theme for a daily soap about a motel near Birmingham was sold to struggling writer Tony Hatch, who was unable to come up with the goods. It all turned out alright though, when Tony Hatch discovered Pedulla Clark in a subway downtown, when she was struggling to get her bass guitar business off the ground. However, the bass business struggles to this day, resulting in her having to do Eurovision in order to keep herself from financial ruin.
9. Chrissy Hynde's middle name is Brenda, and she signs all her personal correspondence Chrissy B. Hynde.
10. The founding members of the Doobie Brothers were big Diana Ross fans and were so in awe of her single hit "Doobedood'ndoobe, Doobedood'ndoobe Doobedood'ndoo" that they decided to ditch their planned name of The Cannabis Five and adopt a shortened version of Diana's song in tribute to her.
11. None of Louis Walsh's first Irish Boy Band, the Batchelors were in fact single. They were each married to one of the Beverly Sisters. (NO, not the same one!)
12.
5th Beatle Billy Preston had no trace of a Lancashire accent.
Funnily enough, neither has Status Quo bassist Alan Lancaster.
13. Belinda Carlyle got the inspiration for her big hit record, "Circle in the Sand" after getting caught short behind a breakwater on the beach at her native Weston Super Mare.

16. If you play Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds by the Fab Four backwards at 45RPM and isolate the left channel, you can hear Yoko's recipe for chow mein, and Linda's recipe for steak and kidney pudding.
17.
This continues to sell well due its low pricing. Tork is cheap.
But can be lethal if careless, a bit like George Michael and his chocolate bar.
18. Contrary to popular myth, Sandie Shaw did actually own a pair of shoes.
19. I bought a good but reasonably priced 5 to try. I love the sound of the low B, and for a lot of straightforward stuff it makes finding a note lower than bottom E a doddle. Faster pieces in the middle frets and middle strings is still a bit exciting, I still get confused about exactly where I am, but that's my fault for not committing fullyto 5 strings and not practising more. If you had learned on a five, you wouldn't even think twice about it.

22. Dolly Parton has a fear of falling on her face, hence she had airbags installed permanently about her person.
23. Elvis Costello is actually an assumed stagename. He was christened Declan McManus, son of Mick McManus the 1970's all in wrestler.
