2.
very nice bass. i wish my car wasn't in the garage getting repaired cos otherwise ide buy it. Does Dirk Lance (ex incubus) use he 5 string version of this??
He sure does!
 3.
What kind of Jazz is it ?
I think it's a Jazz Bass Plus, early 90's model.
 4.
Just to quickly point out that it has the brass Just A Nut I and the Jim Dunlop recessed straplocks. Don't mean to be pedantic, it is just some people like myself look out for Warwicks made with these specs. Looks lovely though!
Yep, and don't forget the wenge neck, either
 5. Would you ship to Sweden, wid de löveli lakes?
 6.
Boost and cut mate
I can't convince you to ship the bass, perhaps?
 7. I play a Warwick 2002 limited edition Corvette: A Modulus OB6: I amplify them most of the time with my small Ashdown Perfect Ten 30W combo (no pic)
 8.
Warwick were 'inspired' by Spector. The orginal basses of course being designed by furniture designer Ned Steinberger who shared woodworking space with at co-operative with Stuart Spector, hence the NS prefix. They are very different basses to Warwicks, both are lovely.
Yep, that is true. On early Warwick Streamers (with the NS shape, mid 80's) it actually says something like "licensed by Stuart Spector/Ned Steinberger". So I guess at one point, Warwick DID pay to use the NS shape. Oh, and BTW, what preamp is in this NS4? Boost only or boost/cut?
 9.
Warwick copied Spector !
And then Warwick perfected it Nah, just kidding. I love both Spectors and Warwicks!
 10. OMFG! I've been searching for an NS4 for ages. Only local pickup, huh... I seem to recognize it from Youtube. Are you the guy playing Jeff Berlin stuff? EDIT: Nevermind, different bloke, but with similar NS4. I've always loved the sound of the NS5-XL, and I love the idea of a 4-string version. The walnut should add a nice mid presence.
 11. Could you give a hint about what kind of £ you are looking for?
 12.
Nope... I bear the scars from an unhappy shipping experience a few years ago and will not be using that method ever again. Sorry!
Ok, no problem. Sorry to hear though, as it is a great bass at an awesome price.
 13. I see in the original post that you prefer local pickup, but would you consider shipping?
 14.
You would never get a HazLab in any Spector from about the last 20 years...
Really? Then why do people always talk about how they prefer the HazLab in Spectors? It seems that they were quite common for a period.
Awww.... Johnny.... This bass is a BEAUTY! Sorry you have to let it go.... but someone could get a 'bass for life' (to use Nick's phrase) here....
Yeah, I've been looking for a nice 5-string for a while, and Spector is on the top of my list. This one is especially gorgeous with the finish.
 15. Which preamp is in the bass? HazLab or Spector TonePump?
 16.
Hey mate - yeah been good... busy as a mofo!
Hey Lex! It's Samuel from the W forums... Nice to see you here too....now go play with your CS Warwicks!
 17. Thanks! Right now, I'm mainly here for the basses on sale, as I am looking for a 5-stringer. As both Sweden and the UK are part of the EU, you don't get the 25% tax you get when importing from the US!
 18. Hi! My name is Samuel, I'm 21, soon to be 22, and I'm from Sweden. I have been playing since I was 10. Have been going to different music schools since the age of 12. I currently use a Warwick LTD 2002 Corvette 4-string, and a Modulus 6-string. Looking for a Warwick 5-string to "complete" my collection. I play everything from country to jazz, but what I like playing the most is funky, groovy music like Jamiroquai and such. I hope I wont get on too many people's nerves here, as I have quite strong oppinions about many things, I tend to get a bit agressive in my arguments from time to time! Cheers\Samuel
 19.
+1 that is a stunning bit o' timber. Those pups don't look like standard MECs either.
Actually, I'm 100% sure they are MEC, it's just that the gold writing has a nack for wearing off quite fast if you use it well.

 21. Any interest in a straight out sale? I've been looking for a good Stage I for quite a while.

 23. Oh, and to the OP, sorry for the stupid question, but I just have to ask: The bass won't automatically make me sound as a Mark King-wannabe? I'm hoping his sound depends on the fact that he really cuts out all he mids, rather than having the EQ flat. I like a bass with good focus in the midrange. I hope this bass would suit my needs. I already have a Modulus bass, which I am very pleased with.
