1. I would never use a pedal/instrument/set up I didn't like just because others do. I might buy a pedal based on reviews and youtube videos, what other option is there, I'm not going to traipse down to Denmark Street with my bass and gig rig to find a fuzz, especially when they won't stock many boutique pedals that I would also like to consider. I enjoy using different pedals and moving them on if they aren't for me, I don't think its a bad thing, I'm not profiteering and never tried to. I definitely don't consider myself to be a better or more knowledgeable musician for it either. I don't know everything and I don't have a massive ticket on myself to be the best musician, I just like loud noises and playing bass. Not sure there's any point getting puritanical about 'fanboys' or peoples attitudes towards effects for the sake of it. Butler - I hadn't actually considered that some forum reviews/GAS could be employed marketing.
2. been sent a picture of my customs etched case, can't wait to get it.

4. Im in two minds over selling this. *Apparently the EQD costs are going up for European distributors and this is a great pedal so cant go lower than £130. *source: peach guitars.
5. My lasting impression is that everyone had a grumble or gripe about something and whilst the overall picture was quite insightful into how things are/have been done, the attitudes of pedal builders towards their profession and its linage, it could have been said by any of us. It was just cool hearing it from the people who learnt this first hand and observed the industry growing, people worth listening to. Who funded the film, there was a lot of Death By Audio and Zvex.
6. Malekko fuzz fan boy here, let us know what you think after the test run Gaz, sounds epic in that vid.
7. I took a bag full of pedals to rome and back, no trouble.
8.
I'm 30 now, I'm never going to make pro, I play gigs with no problems, couldn't give a f*** from there on.
+1
9. Hasn't Dave at FoxRox used cartridges for his ZIM fuzz pedal. Im as quiet surprised the research/development is open source. 217 investors.
10. Try it then, seriously ... just do it, simples, like the meerkat says ..
11. I would hazard a guess at the same since Benjamin has brought production rights to her pedals before now. EDIT: Shame. I didn't know about the console idea. This is a reality with a lot of kickstarter ventures however, even when delivered its late and not to original spec.
12. Well for me once the red lights on it stays on and I make adjustments if needed, I play noise stuff anyway so I don't need to be delicate in the mix. For practice its a mixture of 2 - 4 for rump and flank with the output at 8 - 11 and even then I have to adjust the setting if I'm playing somewhere new or with other gear because it sounds different to my ear. I have to be sensible, the fx32 just excites my juvenile side for loudness which some people and rigs don't appreciate.
13. You couldn't find any info about fuzz pedals in the effects forum, really? I use Fix'd Fuzz DLX or a Malekko B:assmaster which are both versatile and really great pedals that keep low end, but since you haven't said what sound you're after or got the budget for either new, I can't help. Guess you're on your own.
14. Last cracker was the Darkness effort. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQhuoY5h2kE
15. Super late on the uptake with these guys, 15 years late. I really like this song though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHgemYZ852A
16. Kendall - there's a lot of discussion about fuzz pedals through out the forum, use the search bar top right. It would be helpful to know what sound you are after, what artist or band you like the bass on, otherwise you could get caught into the overdrive/fuzz/distortion dilemma.
17. everything Si says +1. It really rinses 9v so Id look into getting a mains power adapter sorted, positive tip. It does change the tone but until you run it through a PA system there's no chance of feeling the benefits. Its one of my favourite pedals because it simply fattens up the experience when loud as muck, if you want to push it then there's not much musical intuition involved, it just boosts the subs, good pedal.
18. ozric tentacles divide opinion but I think they are brilliant. Some earlier albums are repetitive but the others are inspired and unique.
19. is a pre amp simply just an equaliser? ... feel stupid for having to ask but y'know ,...
20. Play triplets and put some bends in between note changes??
21.
No mention of the NX2-212t. Must have sold out - mostly thanks to us lot!
just trying to find a solution to your fiscal/moral dilemma, 410 £299!
