1.
Link didn't work for me, took me to all their makes, that's a bit excessive no?!
here's the one http://www.coda-music.com/fender-custom-shop-precision-bass-nocaster-blonde-p-20423.html
2. This is obsessing me at present but the price is WAY beyond my budget http://www.coda-music.com/electric-guitars-c-21.html
3.
Haha mate, nice try!!!! Actually, that's the one I'm buying in about 45 mins. Do you recognise it? This one used to be yours, and Legions, and Flex......it's stopping here though hopefully! EDIT - not from the Gallery though.....or at that ridiculous price!!!!
Nice one. It's a truly stunning bass, my issue was I cannot cope with a 1.75" nut width or it would still be with me
4. I love the concept of a player having one bass that he is identified with (Jamerson, Martyn P Casey etc) but every time I get near to one bass only I see pretty things and it all turns to filth
5. Chiliwailer - sorry to do this yo you but http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_details.cfm?ID=2804&type=Bass%20Guitar Edit: too late! Just spotted your status comment about incoming P4, ha ha!
6. What a dashing young man there, Keith!
7. The final post on that Wal FS thread said Posted 01 December 2014 - 08:56 PM "Decided not to sell this. It's a great bass despite the colour. Nothing a bit of gaffer tape can't cover up for a while... " Porky pie of the highest order, sorry but this guy needs to give a better explanation of his actions or be chucked out of BassChat in my view
8. As someone who has been on a couple of bluegrass tuition weekends (Sorefingers) and watched s load of YouTube clips of top bluegrass and old time players, I can say the 3/4 bass is absolutely the standard in that genre of music. Don't get me started on strings. I would probably own a desert island by now we're it not for my endless experimenting
9. OK, this was clearly misjudged. Another time. Please close this thread mods
10. fab, looks a beaut. Gareth knows his basses too. As m'learned gent above says, get those Evahs on and let us know
11. Thanks Keith! Last bump of 2014 as I don't think I could hand over until early January beyond next couple of days
12. Good grief, Rick. That is all

Wow, Rick. That is drop dead gorgeous! I presume this is the product of the multiple-part trade you mentioned to me?
14. Cheers Jon. Hmmm, may have misjudged my timing (what with Christmas spends and all that) as no bids incoming! Maybe should shelve this to another time when people have more readies to hand?
15. Oops my bad, and my bad eyesight, it's two Tom Araya picks and a Jason Newsted pick. sorry no Motörhead here (although I do have a Lemmy pick and a Paul Gray of Slipknot pick hidden away somewhere)
16. Hi I assembled this collection off eBay sellers about a decade ago, they are supposedly taken from gigs and actually played by Metallica (Jason) and 2 x Slayer (Tom Araya). They are just sat in my musical odds and ends drawer so I thought why not auction them for charidee? Let's say this runs until Sunday so I can post to the winner Monday. Winner has to donate to Help the Aged. I am setting a minimum of £20 (actually they cost more than twice that but I am a mug!) What do you reckon? Be like your metal heroes, even if only in plectrum worship Edited: I thought the black one was Motörhead but it is actually a 2nd Slayer pick
17. Good man, Tredders. Best of luck with the sale and hope your friend's family have a fab Chrimbo despite whats happened
18. In response to a PM enquiry, I'm afraid its no offers. Its a massive saving (c£700) on new cost and is in-line with previous sale prices for Ten2 combos. Plus TBH I am in no hurry to sell. Price list: http://www.acousticimg.eu/AI_UK_RETAIL_PRICE.pdf
19. PM me in next 25 mins Cost would be buying me a drink and enduring my company!
20. Pics (sorry I am not the best photographer): Here is the manual with specs: http://www.acousticimg.com/docs/manual-ten2.pdf
21. This has been my main gigging amp with double bass for about three years now but is in very good condition (like all my gear; others on my feedback thread will testify to this). Comes with deluxe padded cover which is slightly ravaged by use but still fully functional. Mine is the single channel version (the head is removable and can be used separately) and has all the functionality a DB'er could possible want (phase switch, high pass filter, different room settings etc). Works really well with acoustic guitar and other acoustic instruments too. Only selling as I find I prefer the ultra-portablity of my super-light, small footprint Crazy8 cab and a separate head. New would run you over £1,500, so I think £850 is a bargain. Currently unable to post so its hand-over/collection only in London area for the moment Looks like this but actual pics to follow
22. Hey matey I have done but I am just not a fan of black basses, superficial though that sounds. If they could re-spray it blonde I would be in like Flynn!!!
23. I attended a bluegrass instructional weekend in October ('Sorefingers') and there was a lady there with Rotosound Rs4000 strings on her bass which sound to me like the ones you have described. They are basically synthetic equivalents of an old time gut set with metal wrapped E and A but at a much lower price than guts. Herbie Flowers uses them. They are very low tension indeed and were not that loud in my view, so the comments above on set-up may be very relevant. http://basschat.co.uk/uploads/monthly_08_2012/post-862-0-57064300-1344451156.jpg I am playing occasionally in a bluegrass type outfit and I sm using Spiro Weich E and A and gut D and G, however Velvet strings also work well in this genre as they are low tension and quite loud (the cheapest ones Blues are very good and similar gauge to 'regular' steel strings while the fatter gauge Garbos and Animas are slightly better sounding albeit pricier).
