1. 1) Yes 2) Peavey P2600 for bass bins, Peavey P1500 for tops. EV 18" subs, EV 15" tops. 3) We transport ourselves and ALL of the gear for a gig in two ford focus estates. This is 4 people, a drum kit, the PA, basses, guitars, backline and lighting!! 4) No as we are a 4 piece we do it ourselves We have used this for many venues up to 3-400 people and always been loud enough. We work on the principle that we want to be 'loud' on the dance floor but quiet enough at the rear of the room so that people can talk with no problem. Steve
 2.
For anyone that hasn't dealt with Dave before I can confirm he is as a nice guy as you could wish to meet & his gear is beautifully cared for. You really cannot go wrong.
Agree with this entirely. Very good packaging as well! Steve

 4. Great story Dave and a lovely bass!
 5.
I wonder who that was? Was it a blue rumour by any chance? With blue LEDs (although he would be a bit mad putting those on in the Royal!) If it is, I think I know who that is. Anyway, Dave C of Mother Popcorn actually has a Spitfire in his collection but what with his RHCP tribute, he is usually seen sporting a Modulus or his trusty Stingray.
Yes it was a blue one. He didn't put the LEDs on but it had them. His name is Dean, dont know his surname. Nice guy, he had an EBS rig as well suprise suprise Shame Dave C is a left hander or there could have been some good swapping there! Steve
 6.
Hi Steve - I missed your post! As for the basses, no, they are not all mine! (My bank account would be looking very sorry for itself if it was!) Just the one at the moment although I am saving up for a fully loaded, all singing and dancing, 5 string Rumour.
No worries, I sort of realised it was a stupid question after I had asked it but you never know! I heard a GB played at the Royal a couple of weeks ago by a dep that Mother Popcorn used and it sounded really nice, very powerful. Steve
 7. Nice basses!! Are they all yours?!? Steve
 8.
He did not sell me anything. I did not buy anything from him. He made me buy a Berg IP112. He is dangerous,
Haha Thanks Owen - You will thank me for it one day Steve
 9. Must admit that looks very nice! Steve
 10. Don't do it. Keep both basses so that you can put them back to original should you decide too. I think you will destroy the value of the Bravewood in particular if you part it out. Just my opinion. You are happy with the super bass you have now so you may disagree. What do others think? Steve
 11.
When you say the intro is rushed, do mean the timing or the quality of the recording? It is ahead of the beat a bit and his subdivisions aren't great, but I didn't feel it was too noticeable (though I've listened to it for three years now, maybe I'm immune).
I meant the timing. Everyones ears are different and my tuning is pretty poor but that was the one bit that stood out as being ahead of the beat. We had similar problems with an ex band member who I suggested should actually play with a metronome who of course just laughed as me as that was for drummers and bass players. Steve
 12. You guys just aren't trying hard enough :-) Steve
 13. Hi Pete, I don't know much about the technicalities of recording at all but will post my thoughts as no one has yet. I think you have done well for a first attempt at using the gear and in my opinion the levels are ok. There is something not 'right' with the drum sounds. I don't know how to explain it but if anything thats what lets the tracks down the most in my opinion. The only other real comment I have is that the guitar intro at the start of pretty woman does sound noticably rushed and I would try and get that done if at all possible depending. Hope this helps, I am sure others will have more valid opinions. Steve
 14.
Not sure £1900 for a Precision copy could be described as a "bargain" but there you go. You a dealer by any chance? The only posts you've made are to sell stuff.
The price is reasonable in my opinion. I have played many many Precisions including late 60's and pre CBS and the Celinder Precision bass that I have just bought (although the classic model and not the update for sale here) is as good as any I have played. Also, in my opinion, and I know theres a lot who will disagree with me I couldn't care less if he is a dealer. I would rather see the stuff for sale here than not. Just my opinion. Steve
 15. BUMP this awesome bass back to the top. I owned this for a while and it really is a beauty. Steve
 16.
Nick (ps - just bought another Vigier!)
Lets see some pics in the porno section Steve
 17. Nice collection Mike! I particularly like the 75 jazz :-) Steve
 18. I have had a couple of flea basses in the past. Much as I liked the sound I ended up selling them. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer it really is down to what you prefer. But in answer to your question, yes, I have gone back to wood from graphite. Steve
 19. Bought a Peavey Microbass Combo off Julian. Item arrived in good condition and exactly as described, good communication throughout so would recommend! Steve

 22.
I have the Tascam MP Bass Trainer and have had no problems regarding reliability so I would recommend it. I have a mac with Garageband installed but have no idea how to use it.
The Tascam bass trainer is great, I just got fed up with having to burn cd's each time I wanted to do something different as most of my music is now based on the Mac. Garageband is fairly intuitive, just open it up and then add a new real instrument and turn the monitor on and you should (hopefully) be able to hear your bass. I am sure someone else will explain it easier than I have but give it a shot and see what you think. Steve
 23.
Cheers Steve, thats what Im thinking to be honest. I can always get a pc based drum machine? I do like the look of the Tascam things, but the realiability seems to be a bit suspect. Mike
I haven't checked for ages but my guess is that there will be loads of 'free' drum machines of a very basic nature to download and better ones available if you are willing to pay. I am now interested in any other recommendations on this situation also and what would people recommend as a usb/firewire simple interface? Steve
