2. I'm based in Highgate, London N6, close to the Highgate Northern Line tube station, for anybody interested to try the Sabre out.
3. In order of appearance: 1) it is a standard Precision neck/nut width 2) it is a very good looking and sounding bass 3) yes, I placed it with the Bass Gallery in Camden, and actually it looks even better "in person". Thank you all for your replies/input!
4. and ThisNameIs Taken, of course.
5. Thank you Budget Bassist, JoeGarcia and Silverfoxnik for your kind replies.
6. Hi This is a completely original Ernie Ball Music Man Sabre Bass. I am the second owner, the first one purchased it at Sam Ash in Florida. The active pickups are the originals that came with the bass, as are all knobs, switches, tuners, wiring... you get the picture. The strings have been changed, from time to time, and are currently new. The Bird's Eye Maple neck is in excellent condition, the frets remain tight, and there is little wear, a good polishing and your ready to go. The truss rod is functioning properly. Your tech guy will be able to fix any slight buzz or intonation problems once you've set the string height to your liking. The body has some scratches on the back , and there are a couple small dings and dents in the enamel on the face, nothing horrible, the paint is original. The pick guard has a couple of cracks in it from shrinkage, it has never been replaced. One tuner is slightly looser than the others. The bridge and the strings raise and lower just fine. None of the alan screws were stripped. The bridge is fully adjustable and in perfect working order including the mutes. The controls are for volume, bass boost, and treble boost, all work well. The switch is five way giving you plenty of tonal options and phase capability. The pickup covers show some wear. The case is the original case that was sold with the bass, black velvet and all. None of the vinyl is peeling and all seams are solid as far as I can tell. There are some slightly worn spots and although the latches and fittings look roughed up, they do still lock and the key is included. I need to sell so the asking price is 950 pounds. Any questions or if you want to feel it please get in touch. Thanks for looking at the post.
7. Hi there, I'm selling my Celinder P4 Update, which is in as new condition. It comes with Celinder electronics and pickups, strings through body, Celinder quality finish, wood and sound. Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to try it out. I'm also clearing some other nice basses (1987 MusicMan Sabre, MTD Z5 and a Parker PB51). Since I need to sell, the Celinder is available for only 1800 pounds.Sterling. Thanks for checking this out.
8. Hi I'm selling this Ampeg vacuum tube DI for £260, including a new converter (english to american); the Ampeg is in perfect working condition, and it has a subtle but aurally very pleasing effect with the tube button engaged. As I don't do any recordings and don't play enough gigs at the moment, I don't really use it that much, so here we are. Any questions please do ask, or check the Ampeg support website for the pdf manual (Ampeg SVTDI) http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/SVTDI.pdf Cheers
