1.
Hello! Leave your feedback here!
Great guy to deal with...sold mesa cab to him with ease! Steve
  2. Just to add a different perspective to the debate I own a fender custom shop at the moment and its one of the nicest playing and sounding basses that I have owned. To my hands and ears it's much nicer than the standard US or deluxe models. I get the point about the number of models etc however :-) Steve

Just received an EBS HD350 head off Mike in a deal that was easy. Mike was a pleasure to do business and I would certainly recommend him!! Steve
  4.
All, Any opinions on the realistic value of a bog standard late 90s US Fender Jazz in red with a white scratch guard. In good condition as far as I'm aware. Thanks Phil
Anywhere between £450 - 550 in my opinion. Steve
  5. Happy to recommend Steve. I have been having some lessons with him on a not regular enough basis and I am starting to see a benefit. Steve will tailor the lessons to suit what you want to learn and your ability. Steve

I have had quite a few dealings with some of you on here and the old BW/BT sites. Let me know what you think! Steve

  8. I have just concluded a deal with Marcus and he is a great guy to deal with. Great communication and very friendly. I feel 100% certain that you won't get ripped off by this guy and would personally recommend him. Steve

To be honest I am now involved in a potential swap/trade type deal on this which will either be concluded or not this weekend. I am just about to change the thread title accordingly. It may be for sale after this weekend! Thanks Steve

  14.
That is a beautiful looking bass...been looking at something like that for some time. If you've got the old Tony Bacon Bass Book, there's something very similiar (and original) within its pages. P
I originally asked John to build me that exact bass but as we went on I decided to have no relicing. Mine is the same as that but in as new condition. If you can get to North Birmingham you are welcome to try it out. Steve
  15. This one http://www.bravewoodguitars.co.uk/BlondeJtype60.html is mine. I think I got the last custom order from John. It's a nice bass and I went for no reliccing as I prefer to do that myself by playing it.

  17. Any other interest in this before I eBay it? Also, does anyone know what the LP pickup is worth on its own? I did a search and have no idea. Maybe I would be better off selling that seperately! Steve
  18. Back for sale to anyone who is interested as the deal fell through. This bass is not in mint condition. Its good but there are some slight surface scratches and smallish marks etc but for a 1997 its pretty good. Anyone interested? Steve
  19. OK Guys, lots of interest in this one and a firm offer from the first enquiry and so I am putting this on hold on the assumption that he will have it off me. If anything changes I will mod the post. Thanks Steve
  20.
Oh how much I want this. I bet the one I bought of you previously is nothing compared to this. Nick
To be honest the one I sold you before wasn't far off. I am tone deaf anyway so the subtleties of different pick ups are lost on me :-) Reminds me of a sound check a few months ago when I was purring on about the sound of my Sadowsky and I looked at our guitarist and said "Listen to that, isn't it great?". His reply was "Sounds like a bass to me" :-) Steve
  21.
PM on its way
Received and replied!
  22. I have got the walkabout scout combo and would recommend it. Its not cheap but has great tone and is pretty portable. A big bonus as people have said is the ability to remove the head and use with other cabs. Steve
  23. SOLD! For pics etc see here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2441 I have only had this three weeks but it hasn't been able to replace my Sadowsky as my main bass as I am really into jazzes so I could do with moving this on as its criminal to have it sitting around. Its not immaculate, its been played, theres a few marks and stuff but nothing to whince at. Its got the rare Lane Poor pick up in it. Its got Bartolini 9V preamp ( so I am told) which may have been added after or a special order as its got a 3 band eq on it. Any trial welcome. If I let this go for £1100 I will be losing money but have got to be realistic so if interested get in touch. Not offered in any trades unless you have an EBS TD650 or at a push the EBS HD350 or a quality mesa amp maybe with cash my way. Thanks for looking. Steve
  24. Had a few eMail conversations with Beaver when I was looking for a flea and he was great to deal with.
