Mr cougar........that looks fantastic!! did you buy it from this forum?? also can you still get it set up quite low with the 9 inch radius? just wondered if there was a major difference between set ups on a 12 inch radius and a 9 inch Fran Diaz........they look like a great pair of basses!! your a lucky man!!
Chris, Mr Cougar's Sadowsky was mine but he got it via Richardd. You can set it up beautifully. It was a lovely example of a Sadowsky. Steve
Hi, Please check out some recent recordings I played on (on acoustic bass guitar) for acoustic singer-songwriter 'Sefton'.
Wicked bass mate - you going all 5 bangers then? For you people who havn't had the pleasure of dealing with Steve; he's a top bloke and every bass he owns is amazing. You won't be dissapointed I can assure you. IMHO Celinder make the best basses I've ever played.
Hi Tim, Yes all 5 string for the time being at least! Thanks for the comments. Celinders are great I agree - If anyone has a 5 string Celinder to trade that would be of interest! Steve

Pic's here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=celinder £1700 o.n.o. If there is no interest in this I will eBay and/or send to the Gallery but I thought I would see if anyone here is interested. No trades unless you have a high end head c.£700 that I may be interested in. Any trial welcome in North Birmingham. Would prefer collection rather than postage. Reason for sale is I am trimming down to two 5 string basses both of which will be Nordy VJ5's. Thanks Steve

There was a price in Flankers thread that I linked to and I assumed wrongly that people would read that and know that I was wanting about the same. The price isn't cast in stone but it won't be leaving me for silly money so any offers or interest let me know. If it hasn't sold by the time I can book some leave to get down to London I will leave it with the Gallery to sell. Thanks Steve

Guys, Details here as I recently got this from Flanker..... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=22233&hl=bn5 It really is probably one of the best basses I have ever owned. I am only selling because I want to trim down the collection to one or two basses and concentrate on them and I have deliberated for days as to whether to keep this or the Nordy. Ultimately the tone of the Nordy slightly suits the covers band I play in more. Not really interested in trades unless you have a quality preamp or head that I could take as part ex. Thanks for looking, Based in Birmingham - would prefer meet up/collection to ensure its what you want and are happy etc. I will try and get some of my own pics up over the weekend. Steve

Congrats on a lovely bass. You will be even more impressed with it when you record or gig with it if you haven't already. Superb basses and yours looks a great example of one. Steve

Thanks for the comments guys, I have gigged with this a couple of times over the weekend and it's sounded huge. The singer even commented on the tone which is unheard of

Once I got the Celinder P bass I knew I had to have a jazz and I got one and then let it go so there's now another one arrived and this is a very special bass. The tone is absolutely wonderful and its super playeable. I hesitate to say this but I can't see this going anywhere for a long time. Only drawback is it's not light at 10.25 lbs but what a bass!!!
Thanks steve, this is usefull. When u say he took a 'hit' on the shipping, what did thy mean? Sorry dont know this street jive!!!
Without getting into too much detail we agreed a price including shipping and Jim assumed they could use USPS as they usually did. He then found out that this wasn't practical any longer due to a limit on how much you can insure it for so used Fedex instead which cost more than double what he was expecting. He did what I consider to be the right thing and didn't attempt to change the price thus losing some or all of his profit. As it happens he could have probably shipped it a lot cheaper but he wanted to get it to me asap so all in all great service! Steve
