1. Wasn't there someone on here ordered a 'Fodera' ?
2.
I don't see a bass as a lead instrument any more than a drumkit. Both bass and drums are crucial sounds in a band. Bass fills like drum fills are part of the sound. Trying to suggest otherwise is nothing more than wishful thinking. Enjoy and appreciate the bass for what it does.
It all depends on what's played, how, and by whom. How does cello sound to you ?
3. Comfortably numb.
4. Bass as a melodic and lead instrument is as valid as virtually any other instrument. It's people's narrow-mindedness that's the problem. People have preconceived ideas of what an instrument should, and shouldn't do.
5. Ooooh dear . Give me a B !
6.
i hate brexit. I want my EU citizenship. I want a pound that's worth something.

People are not panicking blindly, they are worried because their money is becoming worthless, and as a result they might lose their homes, and end up being governed by idiots who want to punch foreigners in the face and think climate change is a hoax. A stiff upper lip and a positive outlook is very noble but not much use when you're on the precipice of a waterfall in a deflating rubber dinghy.
Where's the like button ?
7. I like to keep them looking as good as possible. My Yamaha TRBJP is 21 years old, and has a few small marks,. nothing too major, it's been well cared for, and will continue to be so. I think it odd when you see a bass that someone has had from new, and it's maybe only a year old, but is covered in dents and chips. I had a Modulus Q6 that I sold last year. It was 17 years old, but it excellent condition, likewise the Yamaha TRB6P that I had was 23 years old, and in a similar condition. My bass is what I use to make part of my living, it makes sense that I'm going to treat it with respect, and look after it.
8.
Let's not even get started on the number of fish-fingers in a box!
Or their size !
9. A friend of mine was think about ordering a custom Fodera. We worked out the other week, that it would have cost over £2k more now. There's a guy on here ordered a Zon bass, luckily for him he paid the full amount up front.
10.
People like to blame the B****t nonsense for everything but I don't think that has a lot to do with American instruments. The pound has been widely reported as being artificially high in value for too long. Just resetting everything and it means lots of things will cost more.
The dollar was worth 1.50, its now 1.20. It crashed on June 24th. It's got a lot to do with it surely ?
11. If you consider that a $1500 instrument would have cost you £1000, you'd now need to spend £1250. So that's about right. I'm not sure the US election has anything to do with it, it's all this b****t nonsense that's to blame.
12. I don't generally audition for bands, I get offered gigs through word of mouth, and by people that I know etc. Thinking back to when I did though, I would say that if you do audition, and don't get the gig. Maybe contact them and ask for feedback as to why you didn't.
13. Email them ?
14. The HS7s are great. I have a pair.
15. My Markbass CMD121 is a brilliant combo.
16. Check with YouTube ?
17. The bass is the most vital bit. I'd look pretty silly sitting on stage with my Markbass combo, going dum, d dum dum dum .
18. I've never found much difference between a 34" and a 35" tbh.

20. Apparently they played at my local church hall. I was about minus 20 at the time, so don't remember anything about it .
21. Is there a gain control on the pre ?
22. Used for a couple of hours on my Yamaha TRBJP. Cut for a 34" scale, 3 tuners a side bass, but they were cut a little on the long side.
