1.
I place mine at the beginning, just after my pedal tuner, to smooth out the signal before it hits my other pedals . I've tried it at the end of the chain but it takes a lot of the attack out of my over drive and fuzz that way.
Same, squashed signal to feed the OD.
2.
I get the impression sometimes they dont even have the parcel they just stealthily leave a card without knocking.
It's to keep their postbag light. Fill em all out at the depot before they set off. Leave the heavies there and just dish out the red cards. I suspect in a few years time this will be the norm.
3. 100% agree. Where has all the bass gone? Moar bass!
4. Replace the whole cable? Literally just find another pair of crappy phones and splice the cable from it.
5. Agreed. Just remove the labels altogether and have a nice art box.
6. Air is a great band. Got a couple of their albums.. moon safari and 10000hz both excellent.
7. Yeah I get pains in my picking finger. Usually the index finger. I figure it's because it's over used or haven't got the stamina. Like RSI heh
8. I used an old credit or membership card. Cut that down and shimmed using that. Worked alright for me and cost nothing 😁
9. Depends. Sweet or savoury ? A packet of meat 🍖 like seasoned chicken or something ? If sweet then maybe some biscuits ? Flapjack? Something Dense so it packs the needed hunger staver. I'd like to think of a gig is a bit like a workout. Gotta be focused yet expel some energy. So you wouldn't smash out a large pizza or supersize kebab before a gig. Although for some that is the case !
10. No idea what top 40 is ... haven't looked at it for like the last 20 years haha
11. Got an account only for the messenger ... don't actually post anything on it or use it ...
12.
I don't think it will do simultaneous output to two amps. It can switch between one or the other.
I'm pretty sure you can ... https://static.roland.com/assets/images/products/main/ls2_main.jpg A+B mix ?? Or bypass whichever ...
13. Marlin loner guitar Cheap light electric guitar strings I purchased in bulk (mixed) No amp- used some Marshall combo that was already on stage which was mic'd up to the PA The gig was packed, we made some errors but the punters quite enjoyed it. We thought we sucked. 😂 We probably did.
14. I got skanked before buying a pedal on gumtree by distance. Never doing that again. Only lost £30 but that's not the point. Lesson learnt.
15. The second one! The signal is split off by anLS2 I got an ODB3 which takes care of the low and clean mix So I'm left with the SYB3 which I have set to have a raspy sort of high fizz. The trouble is that it sometimes doesn't track that well with fast runs so I'm thinking a non tracking effect which will be an secondary overdrive or distortion It's all experimental anyway and the GAS is creeping back in after a long hiatus!!
16. Hello effects forum Currently I split my signal 1 into OD with clean blend and 1 into synth no blend The OD takes care of the low and middle register The synth takes care of the high register It's an overly distorted tone - almost guitar like fuzz/wall of sound distortion Now I'm looking at replacing the synth with another OD or dist to take care of the high end Any recommends ? It's a full boss set up I was looking at an OS2 or something like that but not sure if anyone has used one on bass ? Maybe even an acoustic simulator as a random pedal... not sure how that will all sound together !
17. Bump for a great piece do kit for your noodling synth moments I've got the non midi version and it's real fun to jam out on the sofa with
18. Learn open chords Majors minors and 7ths Get rhythm up to scratch When I started, a friend of mine said to just sit there and strum a single chord, focusing on rhythm. If you want instant gratification then learn DCG. there. You got yourself some blues. Rhythm is the most important thing though. I would value that higher than chords.
