1. gave my singer a scare at the last gig as he just saw me in the crowd caught his eye and for a sec he was like wtf!!! then he rem i had got the wireless!
2.
Pics? Sound clips? Any chance?
sadly no sound clips, but there are alot on the net however. i believe its a full valve pre and a solid state power section as it feels a bit light to have valves there aswell! andy
3. if you like the orange ad200 an easy switch would be to grab a bass terror, the di is nice in the head aswell. andy
4. final got around to recording and editing some of the videos! only one more to go! heres the "Root" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3d7Ha7Ktbk the "Spore" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JisTXXNZ99k and the "Primer" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En3x0L7WSXQ remember dont judge the playing to harshly! lol andy
5. I'd be tempted to put it at the end of everything so if you want you could add delay to any effect/ sound you have, However there are no right or wrong places so give it a try
6. i have found that its pretty hard to beat a nice mic infront of a cabinet, however a good cab sim would be ok. on a recent recording we tried using the di and mixing it with the mic signal but the mic alone sounded best. andy
7. Well the helio is def going on the board, such a sub heavy fuzz, really like it gives a dif sound to the cog Tarkin, Did a video so ppl can hear it as well Andy
8. You could maybe look at the lateral sound "primer" its a very cool pedal, has the low pass filter nailed and sounds pretty snythy with a bit of dirt. Andy
9. will def give my thoughts and probs hopefully if it turns up tomoz, (he got delayed sending it) do a video of it really excited! fuzz is taking over with me at the min! not a bad thing but if this works out ill more than likely have 3 fuzz's on my board! andy
10. id be up for this! im in south brent so only about 30 mins from exeter, bit of a nightmare meeting at mansons, dnt know the hotel but somewhere with a reasonable size room that doesnt mind some noise seems like a plan! depending on gigging and work i could probs bring my rig, definatly be able to bring my board tho so if ppl were looking to try out some cog stuff etc andy
11.
I've had a few direct from fuzzrocious and yeah it takes a while and there is import tax. Depends on what options you pick though, hand painted takes the longest but I think I read that Sharon is doing pedals full time now so maybe that gap has closed a bit. Joespedals.com has some fuzzrocious stuff in the UK, I've ordered from him and it was great!
dude thats awesome! just grabbed the heliotropic! also! such a nice site! lots of good brands! wait untill i get paid and i might raid that site lol! :-) thanks again! andy
12. also i do realise there a small business and cant help a waiting time.
13. Really wanting to try one of these but doesnt seem to be any for sale in th uk, i see a few of his other pedals around on the site so how did you get them and how long? as im not really looking to order a 200 quid get charged import tax aswell as a fee for international shipping and wait 3 months ish for a pedal i wanna try. is there anyone stocking his stuff over here? or is there something similar thats available over here? andy
14. the thing for me which is most important is that i need to be able to get on with the person! regardless of music i need to be able to hangout with them, then we can start thinking about music, as my band are originals the music thing is a bit easier, can they write a tune, for a guitarist my pet hate is ppl who dnt have a tuner! andy
15. struggle to beat my tu-3 boss tuner, and theres nothing wrong with having a cliff burton phase i think we have all been there! andy
16. im gasing so much for this pedal even tho i have no need! andy
17. recently did a video of my new cog effects pedal, but shows the most recent look of my board, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amu-lBeX4R8 basically a lot of dirt! with more to come, atm its got my Lateral sounds root, and mesa flux drive and the cog "red 5" and currently doing some demos of the of pedals from lateral! and i am thinking one of those is going to make its way in! other than that ive got the standard boss tu-3 and the bass limiter which is fine but am looking to upgrade it to a comp like the warden by earthquaker. also have another cog pedal idea almost under way when i get time to send the package of to tom! andy
18. recently got my new line 6 wireless kit, and i have to say im impressed, very clear sound and no lag or interference, and even tho its the cheapest in the range it feels sturdy enough, yeh there is a difference to using a cable (bar the obvious) there are a bit more highs in sound but my worry was a loss of low end or the low end going a bit muddy, neither happened so all in all very happy! also the range they say is a very safe number also at my gig last night i ran around a bit! like you do when you first get wireless lol and i went behind walls etc so line of site isnt needed! and also at practice the other day i went probs about 60ft out of the practice room and it still worked. for 149 quid its a bargin in my eyes! andy
19. as far as i know if you want to put it on standby then thats fine but if you want to use the head then as above always plug it into a cab, or if you wanted to use the di out say for silent recording, you can get dummy loads to make the amp think its plugged into a 4 or 8 ohm load. andy
20. got these on loan from Jon at lateral sound! cant wait to try them out! full video review of them coming soon! Andy
21. yeh reissuing the oc-2 with a modern and classic switch which i think is what the switch is, would basically be a oc-3 no? i must admit a bit of interest in the delay, but not sure the blues driver needed a reissue? andy
22.
I`d look out for one of the SVT 210AV cabs. Small, portable, great sound, and made by Ampeg so all will match. Which would be nice.
those cabs are awesome! andy
23. hi all my band six sins till sunday are playing in an all day event at the "junction" in plymouth, heres a link to the event be nice to meet a few bass chatters https://www.facebook.com/events/758749410867126/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular the days full of good bands, all kicks of at 2pm! andy
24.
My thoughts exactly. I`d love one, but only if it were someone elses job to carry it. Actually, if that were the case, I`d have two!
So true!!
25. I love my 810! I've had 410's ,115's and a ampeg 610, I dont dislike small cabs but the 810 does sound amazing really fills the rooms we play, don't ever struggle to hear myself, and mines not a crazy ££££! One it cost me about 400 quid. Does help that we all help with gear In my band as otherwise it be a pain
