1. and another quick question should i put a compressor at the end to bump up my signal after going through all these pedals? andy
 2.
You can stick all your pedals in the loop. When you want mental noise, turn it on! It takes a bit of the output and feeds it into the input. If you put analogue dirt pedals in there they should oscillate, but you can get all sorts of weird effects. I have my whammy and digital delay in one set to octave up, so it keeps pitch shifting the pitch shifted notes.
now that does sound like fun! where can you get them? or do you have to build your own? andy
 3.
I often wonder why people bother with reverb pedals. Are you playing in a really dry room? Or is it for some sort of "special effect"? A really cheap and very fun addition to any board is a feedback loop.
my idea for it is to change my sound in the slower numbers we have, i suppose you could say a special sound? you know fill the sound a bit. ive heard of feedback loopers but what are they? andy
 4. ok so this is what the board is starting to look like tuner--boss oc-3--boss ps-3--boss ph-3-boss aw-3(with exp pedal)--boss ls-2(with blues driver mixed with dry signal)--ehx big muff-ehx metal muff--boss rv-5--carl martin delay got about half of it just need to save up for a bit for the rv-5 but it k, what you guys think on order? and next question is power supply? at the minute i use a boss one that came with my pedal board but i can't use that as there are to many pedals? what do you guys use? andy
 5.
best flanger i've had is the Danelectro FAB Flanger. £20 and great sounding. Not a fan of the BBM but a lot are. If you are on a budget then what you've spec'd is all respectable if you have more to spend then it opens up alot of options.
like what? ive listened to sound clips of all the pedals love the rv-5 probs have a limited use but its still gonna be got! andy
 6.
+1 for the OC2. i love the ehx stuff. i dont find it kills my signal to bad. Good luck tracking down a russian big muff. they're quite hard to get hold of in this country due to the box being made out of lead. Theres a guy i know that has one in bideford that has one on display. But he refuses to sell it.
no it doesnt really effect it in a bad way it just obvious that alot of the strength is gone due to the second on having to be twice as high on the volume control to be the same as first. ok so ive had a few ideas and i have filled a few more holes! tuner--octave(either 0c-3 or mxr)--boss flanger (bf-3)--boss auto wah(will eventually get the expression pedal for this!)--ls-2(with blues driver mixed with clean)--ehx bass big muff--ehx metal muff--carl martin red repeat--boss rv-5 im thinking i can get some scary and cool sounds out of that? and would anyone change the order of anything? andy
 7.
I'd put the delay at the end but try it and put it where you like the sound. Falnger/phaser/chorus could be good and as has been suggested an Octave pedal is always useful
thinking about it that does make sense! ok so ill def get a big muff unsure what octave, im thinking of going with boss and an oc3 or should i try the mxr? andy
 8.
+1 on the octave front. They're brilliant at filling out basslines. Also - just one distortion pedal? you need to address that!
Indeed! That should addressed im thinking! Lol Liking the octave down plus fuss idea! Andy
 9. looking into getting a few more pedal to add a bit of depth and also to mix up my sound a bit as my bands set is a bit varied at the minute. at the minute i have my modulus going into this, tuner(tu-3)--boss auto wah--boss ls-2(this has a boss blues driver mixed with clean)--ehx metal muff i also have a harmonizer pedal which i sometimes play with, but thats out at the minute as it was a bit of a pain but im sure it will come back! now here comes the fun part ive got a delay pedal on its way to me which im gonna stick in after the tuner, but what else do you guys think might be cool to stick in? im looking at the boss rv-5(i know another boss pedal!) which im thinking will kinda fill out the sound in our breakdowns and slower numbers but have also been thinking of maybe an octave pedal and then even a pitch shifter? although i have rediscovered my love for muse recently and i know he uses a digitech bsw and a russian muff so there tempting me two! thing is the ehx is a right signal destroyer the signal coming out is way less i think even with it of! i used to have two in a row and the second used to have to be twice as high on the volume to be the same? so im looking at if there is anyway to route these pedals so i dnt loose to much, the boss pedals are fine so im thinking of grabbing another ls-2 and putting the distortions in that at the end of the chain. but im guessing the russian muff would need mixing with clean and i can't have three ls-2's on my board! any ideas? andy

 15.
The difference between the 1 and 1.1 is that the 1.1 has twice as many locations to save and has an on/off button, as well as the "afterburner" zone on the input gain which is a lo cut/high boost function. I gave serious thought to buying Mr Foxen's, but what put me off was that it was 110V, had it not been I would have bitten his hand off for it. Changing out the transformer sounded too problematic so I just saved up and got one new. Mr Foxen is quite correct as well that they don't come up that often either because not that many people have them or that nobody wants to sell them. I watched Ebay for 4 months and there wasn't one that went for less than £290 whch was more than I was going to pay for one 2nd hand.
looks like ill have to keep an eye out then. dnt need it at the minute but if i see one ill get it. andy
 16.
Well, they're not cheap. You won't find one for less than £500 if you're going for new. 2nd hand maybe £290 if you're lucky. There aren't really that many sold on ebay. Depends what you want to use it for really. If you want loads of different types of distortion then that's great. If you only want say one or 2 then it's just total overkill. The midi switching is covered in the manual. It's not that difficult to work out if you sit down with it. If you want to preserve the clean sound of your amp, put the PSA in the loop. There are 2 bypass channels on it so you can remove it from the signal chain if you wish to.
well at the minute i would probs need about 4 or 5? but i maybe joining a covers band so i will probs need a few more than that. you know original bands sounds then some to fit the covers. cool about the bypass. is there a massive dif between the 1 and the 1.1? andy
 17. these units sound wicked! but by the looks of it are stupidly expensive!? but i can save up for that i can't find a video or anything that says about how the midi thing works you can store sounds i get that well the patches anyway, but is there a way of taking it out or does it have to be on the whole time? as i like the clean sound of my amp and if i can would run this before it. or am i better going for a norm sansamp? but i dnt think they sound the same at all! andy
 18. bump for price change. andy
 19.
Could be interested,.. "unless your close and postage not needed." Close to where? Scotland? Ireland? Japan?
Opps! Sorry i live in tbe southwest, in plymouth. Andy
 20.
The Boss EV5 is designed to work with Boss pedals, or for roughly half the money a Moog EP2 is compatible with Boss stuff - bit more rugged construction too.
cool man thanks alot ill grab one in the new year! andy
 21. just not using this anymore as im probs going to be getting a pedal for my comp needs the only damage was done before i owned it which is a slightly bent rack ear still fits in and a pair of plyers would sort it ive just never got round to it. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/MDX1600.aspx thats a link to there site. its two channels that are bridgeable if i rem, very nice bit of kit. im looking for 40 quid plus postage which i think is fair as its a pretty big unit. or if your around plymouth in the southwest 35 quid if you pick up. andy
 22.
Cool! I have a PH-3 if your interested. Unfortunately i have decided to go for a OC-3 and a wireless. Cheers, Matt
ok no probs
 23.
Do you have a picture of this pedal?? What things are you looking to trade for? Cheers, Matt
i dnt have my camera but its never been gigged and is spotless. but its the same as the pic. trade wise im looking for a nice delay pedal, a boss ph-3 and also looking for an 0c-2 andy
