1. hi guys need to get a few pedals sold due to money issues and moving house so need to free up some space. first of i have a napalm snowball feed back looper, its in like new condition only used a few times at practice and its just not for me! very cool and is tiney but really well put together! im looking for £40.00 posted for this. next up is a behringer bass chorus pedal, its an ok chorus for the price, looking for 20 quid posted then sadly im having to also sell my boss ce-5 i love this pedal but atm im not using it and i need the cash so ill hopefully get another soon! im looking for 50 quid for this as its in good nick and is an awesome chorus for bass. then i have my boss phaser pedal the ph-3, this is like new! sadly again having to sell due to needing the monies, looking for 60 quid posted. then i have a zakk wylde wah wah pedal from dunlop this has a broken battery cover but otherwise works just fine, ideally looking for around 60 quid for this. please message me if you are interested ive only used these pedals at practice so they have been treated well, im not looking for trades but if you have some thing that you think i may like or you want to put some money plus a pedal then just throw me a message. andy
2.
Cool thanks for that. I think tomorrow I will take the Boss back and get a backup for my Korg.
is it just me, but why dnt you unplug the lead from the tuner? but im used to unplugging stuff as i have active basses so the batteries drain unless i unplug them. andy
3. boss all the way! build like a tank, makes down tuning easy, can run up to seven boss pedals out of it using a dasiy chain lead, has a direct out so you can split signal if you want to and its a really good tuner. i tune using the 12th fret harmonics and the note is up in seconds. the tu-3 is even more accurate than the tu-2 due to having a better display, you can also brighten or dim the lights. i run mine of the direct out of my whammy, that way i can leave it on and always see if im in tune, but sadly that way i can't mute and this way theres no bother it not being true bypass, not that i care about that tho! andy
4. bump as the wah is back up for sale or trade please offer away! need this to go! andy
5. well first thing on any board should be a tuner really, ive got a boss tu-3 really good tuner, can power pedals from it all in all very good tuner. you can probs grab the earlier tu-2 on here or flea bay for around 35-40 quid, its not much different can just supply a single pedal. i love my swollen pickle for fuzz, i use it with a ehx metal muff sounds awesome! the metal muff is a bit more hardcore than the bbm also you can get the nano or one which has a small eq and separate top boost. if you havent already try out the boss odb-3 has a clean blend built in and can get some nice sounds if you have patience with it. alot of people are put of by the reviews. i dnt use compression live, just use it in the studio on recorded tracks. as another suggestion if you find a overdive you like but it cuts the bottom end out you could get a boss ls-2 it works really well as a blender, and they norm go for about 45 quid? andy
6. ive got a ce-5 for me much better than the ceb-3 really nice thick chorus, and very little low end loss and also has stereo outs which makes it sound huge! not tried the the ebs but im guessing its true bypass? which the boss isnt, not that that bothers me on bit! build quality boss units are built like tanks! Andy
7.
You're welcome over anytime... And now I want one of those!!!! Not for a track... Most I use is 8 plus the MP-201 in a track. I've had them all on at once just messing around, but with all the modulation effects it becomes a huge sub-drone that just builds up and up until cab shakes so much I feared it would explode.
haha been there! using my whammy with octave down, then the pickle, with my metal muff, flanger and memory boy it can get a bit much lol! nothing compared to you tho! andy
8.
It's been bloody hard work, but here it is... 12 metres of cable & 70 Georgle L's plugs later - The finished, 2-Tourman, Drum&Bass/Dubstep setup. I've been able to get all power supplies, midi clock generator, headphone amp and expression pedals within the board, setup/breakdown is now a matter of connecting 6 jacks and plugging in... It's a beast!!!!! Board 1 - Board 2 - The full set up -
nice man! thats wicked! you ever have every thing on at once? andy
9. i have a tu-3 even better than the 2, faster to tune, brighter led's and powers more pedals! wicked tuner! oh and due to it being boss its built like a brick s';t house! andy
10. these are really cool but a bit pricey! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_njX52NyaA...feature=related the tc g major 1 or 2? andy
11.
I use it for steep climbs and dives along with delay... Www.ourhelicalmind.bandcamp.com - listen to the track 'Neon Tangerine' . It has a very simple structure (Intro, A, B, A, B, A, B, Outro). Each 'B' section uses the 2 octave climb along with delay to create an over lapping trail into the next section... Shep
nice! not really my thing but thats def something i can use. to build up or drop down into breakdowns etc thanks shep andy
12.
I've attached a file. It's the end of a song i'm working on. You can hear the bass go from distorted to clean, to whammy, then with delay, then it starts to get weird with the feedback. It's not the best example really but it's all I have access to that's actually recorded.
Thats wicked! Really like the whammy with delay. Are you using a volume pedal for the swells at the end? Andy
13.
those sort of "soundscapes" is mostly what i'm using mine for. If you put it in a feedback loop, some of the harmonies it makes are amazing. Mine's an XP-100 but I bet the WH4 is just as good
When u say sound scapes? What you happrn to have any clips? Really like the idea of the ls-2 and the octave pedal i was thinking of grabbing an oc-2 when i get paid if i can afford it, ive only had a quick play but sounds really nice going into my swollen pickle! But please keep the ideas coming! Andy
14. Hi, I just got this pedal in a trade and am thinking of cool ways to use it in my band. Im thinking for solos or lines that i want to stand out a bit, also ive got some really cool bits that im thinking i could use the whammy changing the odd note etc(kinda inspired by tool) But i do have an ls-2 lying around doing not that much if i put some distortion and the whammy in the loop set to the octave up kinda be similar to a guitar and thicken the sound but im thinking it might be waste of the whammy? Also anyone got any suggestions how do u use yours? Just for info its not the bass whammy i believe its a whammy 4? Andy
15. final bump for the wah before ebay
16. wednesday night bump
17. boss ce-5 is an awesome pedal! although i also use a boss bf-3 set to a chorus kinda sound which i like. andy
18.
No real changes here, but the cabling is all neat and tidy now. This has proven to do it's job for me very well! Corvid fuzz likey to be replaced with a gated fuzz very soon. Other than that - it's all staying!
nice board! im so tempted even tho i'd have such a little use for it to get myself a whammy! i know it doesnt track all that well but hows it work on bass? andy
19. epic rig! wish i had some spare monies id be all over that cab, love to have 2 610's on the go! andy
20. i normally use the di on my aggie, or mic the cab. for me mic'ing the cab sounds by far the best. and although not live sound as such i kinda had a go at copying fleas setup in the studio a while ago a di straight after my bass then into pedal board to amp with another di from my head and my cabinet mic'd, in the end i only used the first di and mic sounds huge tho! its a really cheap dual rig if u use a pa all the time. i love delay! ive got the ehx memory boy and the mxr carbon coby! if you need tap tempo then neither are for you, but there well worth checking out as they are very cool pedals! also the line 6 DL4 is wicked! andy
