1. thanks! i really love this bass! i've not had any GAS in months thanks to it! oh and the obligatory cat shots with the new camera
2. I've been meaning to take some good photos of my $$ for a while, and i was just mucking about with my dad's new DSLR this morning, enjoy.
3. a second hand SUB would be a very nice purchase indeed, but don't rule out some other basses just yet. If you don't have to have the typical musicman neck and looks, then i would HIGHLY reccommend a warwick corvette $$ over a musicman. They can nail the musicman sound, but can also be WAY more ballsy, and with the extra pickup, active/passive switch and coil tap switches, there are loads more tonal options, and i find the body and neck much more comfortable.
4. best. cake. ever.
5.
As long as it's not one of the cheaper rockbasses 350 sounds cool,
rockbass never made a bubinga corvette. £350 is a good deal.
6. is it not just a really sort of bleached vintage white? really cool rig, loving the vintage vibe, especially with the acoustic stuff, can't beat a corvette either
7. that's gorgeous! great price too
8. looks like one of those old invisible body/fretboard models, i'm surprised you guys haven't heard of them! They didn't last long, mind.
9. haha cool, it would be interesting in hearing the sound difference as i've always been a little skeptical as to how much difference changing a lump of metal would actually make!
10. nice, what are the mods other than the bridge and the headstock?
11. maybe she'll get the real thing some day is it a westfield? nice work on the headstock either way
12. that SSII is lovely love the grain on the bubinga on the thumb too
13. lovely bongo there
14. oops, forgot about this thread, nah i didn't try anything out, just had a look really, never tried the corvette before the setup anyway out of interest, how much would you charge for a setup? I asked at the music inn and they told me they wanted £20 plus a new set of strings, apparently you can't set a bass up unless the strings are brand new. My arse.
15.
The wife said " u can have the spongebob dressing gown for 20 quid" lol
Only if you were wearing clothes under it!
16. i'm not sure, a lot of bassists do too, but coming on here has made me buy and sell quite a lot of stuff. I wouldn't mind my own custom bass just so it was exactly to my specs but for now i'm happy with my warwick, i can't actually see myself buying/playing anything else for a good while now.
17. ahh fair play, after that unwanted readers thread the other day? and yeah they tend to go for about that on here, strange as there hasn't been any sort of price slump with these
18. when did you change your basschat name??! lovely bass btw, had one of these in natural and it sounded amazing, unfortunately sounded too much like my musicman for me to want to use it! gorgeous colour
19. just sold jimbob a wah pedal, nice and easy transaction
20. no worries man
21. yeah i just noticed after posting! hence the speedy edit!
22. sounds good, wish i could have gone!
23. i think you kinda missed the idea! this was just a thread for luke showing off his basses, by all means start your own! That diamondplating does look cool though
24. nice chrometone out of interest, how does the chrome affect the tone? i would assume it has a slightly zingy top end?
