  1. This has been my backup. Good condition and all works as it should. Used a couple of times with a BF Compact and a Super Twin. To be honest, I thought if my main amp was a goner, I would just buy another Elf and use one as a main and one as a spare. Great sound and tons of volume for my needs. Buckets of with the Super Twin. I’ve got a few amps racked now and so no need to carry a separate spare and so this little fella is up for sale. Postage extra at cost or collection from Blackburn Lancs.

  2. I sold a 73 Jazz for £70 in the 90’s 😳 As my old mother used to say, ”Hindsight is a wonderful thing son”. I used an Olympic JV 57 for years and loved it. Still regret selling it. Wonderful instruments. I’m sorely tempted with yours but alas something needs to sell first. 😁
  3. Can’t believe this is still here! If I remember rightly, your old 66 Precision would have been 58 today? 😁
  4. XR18 takes up 3u, a drawer 1u, IEM 1u in height but only half width. You could get a 1u shelf and put the transmitter on there and have room at the side for a spare. Maybe an external router in there? You could reconfigure the headphones out on the XR18 to accommodate a monitor mix for your drummer. Make sure there’s mounting rails on both sides of your case ( I’ve made that mistake) t for your power rail. I would go for a shallow 6u (at least as things may change) case with lids not a bag. Think about the rack ears you buy too. You will need them to have holes to feed cabling through or you may need another rack space at some point. If you buy recessed rack ears, you can save on wear and tear, you can leave leads plugged in with no worries of the lids pushing against them when they are fitted. I play in a couple of outfits that use them with in ears with different configurations. I’ve just built one setup with mic splitters so it can be used live onstage, setup as if we are in rehearsals (We don’t really trust venues to control our in ear mixes). All the signals are now split to separate outs to go to a larger PA at venues. We set up as if we are rehearsing and the venue takes the feeds they need from our splitters. It all sounds simple but the amount of times I’ve put stuff in a rack and taken it back out again to rearrange is a joke 😂 You’ll get the idea soon enough. Good luck, yore going to have a great system 😁
  5. Has become surplus since acquiring an XR18 and so I’m testing the water. Presonus 16.0.2 Studiolive FireWire mixer / interface. In good condition. Too many bells and whistles to mention but comprehensive information and video tutorials are freely available easily via a Google search.. Used in my home studio only since my ownership. Comes with FireWire cable, literature etc. Possible trades. Try me. Price does not include postage. Collection and demo welcome.
  6. If I didn’t already have one too many 112’s , I’d be on this. Great cabs. Being 4ohm I’d pair it with my Elf as a superb compact rig. Remarkable price too! GLWTS.
  7. Just tried the TubeDirt n Comp toneprint on mine. Tis marvellous 😁
  8. Bought some leads from Joel. They arrived exactly as described. Nice bloke to talk to as well. What more could you ask for? Thanks again Joel 😁 Cheers Dunc
  9. Luke bought a pedal from me. Instant payment, nice chap to deal with too. An all round positive experience. Thanks again Luke. Cheers Dunc
  10. Bought some rack ears from Gareth. Arrived superfast, exactly as described with bonus fittings! Great fella to deal with. Have no reservations. Thanks again Gareth. Cheers Dunc
  11. A couple of months ago I was out having a pint and ended up talking to a lass who was a bass player, she was back in England visiting her family. After a while she mentioned that the tip of her middle finger was mostly missing. She had been bitten by a dog. I’ve forgotten the exact details of the story now but when she was learning bass she went to see Marcus Miller somewhere. She ended up meeting him and asked him if he could give her any advice. She gave him her email address never expecting a reply. Much to her surprise he did get back on numerous occasions with tailored videos and advice on how she could improvise her playing technique. She couldn’t sing his praises enough. What a good lad!
  12. Just bought a tuner from Andy. It arrived rapid and exactly as described. Great communication and a pleasant fella to deal with too 😁 What else could you ask for? Thanks Andy!
  13. I’ve owned this for a long time. A mate borrowed it from me decades ago and I’ve just got it back today 😂 I’ve absolutely no use for it and so it’s up on here. It must be early 70’s, it is playable and the electrics work. 34 scale and is probably under 9lb. I do not know what the body is made of. Its about 41mm at the nut. It’s not a pro bass, it’s a quirky 70’s made in Japan bass that’s been played many many times. It has dings and scratches and needs some tlc. It’s also cheap. Trade - 5/6u shallow rack case, rack tuner. £50 collected from Blackburn Lancs. I may post if the buyer arranges their own courier etc.
  14. Getting an older version of Logic X Pro from the App Store and onto an older machine isn’t always as straightforward but the solution is easily found via a Google search and YouTube videos.
  15. I don’t know what version of Logic X Pro has to be used but - If money is a real issue, a 2011 iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6 will run Logic X Pro easily. I picked a 2011 27” 32gb ram, 500gb SSD and a second 1tb hdd for £300 years ago. You could probably get one with a similar spec for much less now if you look around. It still works perfectly well. A 2012 MacBook Pro with Catalina also runs Logic Pro X perfectly well. They’ll take 16gb ram and a 1tb SSD. I own both for Logic X and Waves Plug-in Suite and have never felt the need to spend any more money. Older systems get the max RAM and SSD size you can afford. Plug-ins like RAM and projects and programs (especially Waves) take up a lot of HDD space.
  16. I’m mostly looking for a 5 or 6u rack case. Good condition but used so don’t expect new 😁 Works as it should. Comes unboxed but will be well packaged for its journey. £76 posted mainland UK. £70 collected Blackburn Lancs.
  17. He does indeed but unfortunately and sadly he doesn't need another amp. Alas I need to sell or trade for another. Thanks for the heads up though
  18. Here’s my Markbass Marcus Gold Line Limited 800 in it’s ‘live’ in’ MB carry case. A great versatile and powerful amp. RMS 800w @ 4 Ohm and 500w @ 8 Ohm. Good condition, everything works as it should. There’s some Velcro on it in the photos which I will remove 😁 Up for sale through no fault of its own. I’ve gone back to a two stack setup and so I’m looking at ways to simplify my set up so I only need to carry one amp and one cab. The ShuttleMax 9.2 / 12.2 etc seem to tick all the boxes. Please let me know if you have something similar you wish to trade though. Official Markbass blurb https://www.markbass.it/product/marcus-limited-800/ Collection and trial from Blackburn Lancs, possible meet depending on distance and timing. Happy to discuss postage.
  19. I’m sure Joe Meek will need little introduction on here. Really nice half rack Compressor EQ with original power supply. All works as is should. Some signs of use but not abuse. It’s served me well for a number of years now but it’s getting very little use now. £135 delivered to mainland UK or £125 picked up from Blackburn Lancs. May trade. Try me.
