3. And not just 10" drivers either .... Fast reacting :- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59337 And also test and demo every combination thoroughly with your own set up , which as you play a using MIDI you might consider a dual or stereo rig .. Gary v8
4. That is an absolute stunner Sir ! Much as i dribbled over the Fod ( evn tho it was sc ) i think this is " The One " wow! 30.75 scale and ooh skinny neck ! Stanley taper ? Dont think ive seen a piece of Buckeye quite as eyewateringly delightful ! Ive Just recently taken delivery of a "preloved " Series 1 and havent been able to put it down as yet , the tonal variety from the filter based eq is phenomenal and the playabilty just incredible , " flats on a SC " ??? who ? why ??? lol ( each to his or her own of course ), but wha ? Hope you ll be stringing that beauty up with some really skinny springs and bending the notes after the nut ! If you need any Stanley tracks ! lol ..oh dam mine are all on vinyl .. dont ever put this up in FS cos ill have to camp outside your house ! Beautiful !! Gary v8

Wooden f/board ? or phenolic ? Love the binding too, like a dinner suit ! tuxedo berger maybe ? And so nice to steinys being brought out dusted off and displayed , just to fuel my gas ....only played a couple L2 and XL but allways , allway impressed . Apols to the OP for going slightly off topic .. Gary v8
7. Hello mate Think im going a lil nuts here ! Is it a 4 banger as in the pics ? or a 5 as in the yt vid ? Just to clarify as i was all discombobulated by string counting ... Gary v8
8.
Looks like a Carl Thompson but is it? Alex
Another of the amazing creations of Mr wittenberg from his site @ http://www.bas-extravaganza.nl/?setlang=EN His stuff has been mentioned on BC but it just astounds me ! Obviously very CT influenced and im sure it would break your back wearing it or playing it but hey no pain and all that ... dam things even got LEDs brrrr Gary v8
9. My old Marlin ( stop sniggering ) sidewinder .. P/J Paint hacked off exposing ply body , defretted , refretted , smashed , dropped , burnt , left outdoors in the rain Best tone i ever had ! ! or this :- which gives me sleepless nights .. Gary v8
10. Just adding to Pete ( fleabag ) , the name still makes me chuckle .. feedback Fast courteous efficient and highly entertaining ! Many Thanks fle..flea .. ( nope i cant say it ...).... pete ! Top BC er to deal with Thanks mate , Gary v8
11. Ahh found your feedback thread !... Just to say what an absolutely top notch BC star to deal with , great comms all the way and damn you can pack ! lol im now using your packaging to transport delicate vases around in total safety .. Total gem ! , Many thx AM ! Gary v8
12. At times like this i wish i was sinistre One of my all time favourite basses ! lovely short scale fantastically playable , im nearly dewey eyed .. My old one had a plain F style bridge and i had rosewood surrounds made up by the bristol guitar workshop ( cos they all split ) moons ago but still rue the day i sold it or traded it to buy beer or something equally ludicrous . Thats a steal of a deal too ! £ 320 or ono ???? u sure ? lol wonders about becoming ambidextrous .....but i have trouble tying my shoelaces sometimes .. Nearly tempted to just stick it on my wall too !! Someone give this some lefty love you might be surprised how good this is ! Have a Krameresque bump
13. Luvverly bass ! Bi Amp it and send the higher frequencies though a valve guitar head with a soupcon of gain . Hey presto ! even more evil !! Gary v8bass and part time 12 stringer
14. I put one of those piezo equipped bridges on a fretless BitsaJazz last year , A PITA to get the levels between Mag and Piezo right so after much trial and error ended up using a cheap Artec Buffer to match . The bridge itself is of very reasonable construction and quality so wont rob any tone A simple wiring diagram last one in the book http://www.artecsound.com/wiring/wiring_book01.pdf And a semi tech article http://www.bassplayer.com/article/rick-tur...ezo/mar-05/3368 Sound wise for me its unlike either bridge pos or neck position ( unhelpful sorry ) but it adds a new dimension in terms of tone . A marmite quality but capable of DB esque and semi or electro acoustic tone and beyond for me certainly adds some dynamics into the overall mix Gary v8
15. Stranglers , JJ Burnell " Hanging Around " Gary v8
16. Something about SC s that just doesnt work for me ...or does it ? But that is a work of art ..gobsmacking ! and luthiery at its finest . Does it play as good as it looks ? Gary v8

22. Ive bought a couple of the Tweeds and i can safely say theyre not bad at all Think they were generic manufacture but are both pretty well constructed, look good , secure , and do the job nicely The tweed will mark of course but pretty good value imho Think they came via Adreneline on the Bay with fast delivery too ( not affiliated ) Gary v8
