  2. We have one of these, but its the small upright version and the tone is lovely. Glwts.
  3. I didn't think they were interchangeable? I have 2 x super compacts mk3's and I asked Alex if I could swap my silver fronts for metals ones and he said they weren't designed to do that. Maybe its different on various models? My bad....they aren't metal but black cloth........I get it now.
  4. Proper bargain...Good job l've got a HB400 or ld have this in an instant!
  5. Thanks for the info.....then there's various taxes☹
  6. I cant find a price for the new R400's....
  7. Exactly how I have my Keeley set and its perfect!
  8. My wife has just caught me looking at this beauty.....fortunately she thought l was looking at your Chaise Lounge......is it for sale, whats your best price, would you deliver?
  9. This truly is a thing of beauty! I bet it plays and sounds incredible......
  10. Never ever look at my fretboard markers...just use the side neck markers for reference. Years ago l was in a band where we were all different children's characters....and l was Postman Pat. I ended up having to wear a paper machè Pats head with little round eyelets for vision! Hardly ever look at the fretboard much now...
  11. Brilliant little amps...sold my Mesa D800 for one of these babies and just love it. Glwts...proper steal!
  12. Jon Shuker x 2....he's the man. Sheffield based and brilliant!
  13. I'm not going to get caught out by this silly point!
  14. A second hand Barefaced cab would be my choice and perfect for small intimate gigs too. Also consider a 1x10 BF cab.
  15. I had a Subway D800 bought from a very nice gent on BC as l wanted one for a long time. Paired it with a bf compact for 2 rehearsals in our Soul band and never used it again and was sold soon after. I found it lifeless, lacking punch, depth and dynamics no matter how l set the controls. I was really disappointed with it. I bought an Orange Terror mk 2 and love it and then dropped on the best amp l have ever had the pleasure to play through....Handbox R400! I regularly use both amps and love them. The Mesa just wasn't for me though. My suggestion would be to borrow one if you can and use it at regular band volume and see how it fits/sounds in the overall mix. After all its very subjective...good luck with your quest mate.

  17. The attenuators are great if you have a hot DI. I had to use one on my mk1 Terror 500 but l now have the mk2 version and the DI is fine. The appropriate attenuator will sort it for you no problem.
  18. This happened to me a few years ago when l sold an Seat FR headlight. The guy said it didn't fit so sent it back signed for and recorded delivery. It was just a small envelope with bubble wrap inside! I contacted ebay and their fraud department who sorted it all out and l got paid the full amount. Dont know what happened to the scammer though!
  19. Absolute steal...........brilliant cabs/rig. Loved my Trace gear in the 80/90's. Can't believe I used to gig 2x 4x10's and an AH500.
  20. AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, no mate...please take it away from the radiator! Fecked up a completely good Columbus first bass doing that....neck ended up unplayable!
  21. I must be totally weird...after reading all theses hate gig comments..... Im 65, been playing double bass/electric bass since the age of 8. Played in bands aged 14, been all over the UK gigging and loved every single moment...from the rough and ready gigs to the very top end big payers! I love the drive to and from gigs, setting up and ragging down it just ticks every box l've ever wanted to do. I really do understand all the things everyone detests about gigging but for me, playing bass has been a privilege and a totally pleasure.....
