    I must be totally weird...after reading all theses hate gig comments..... Im 65, been playing double bass/electric bass since the age of 8. Played in bands aged 14, been all over the UK gigging and loved every single moment...from the rough and ready gigs to the very top end big payers! I love the drive to and from gigs, setting up and ragging down it just ticks every box l've ever wanted to do. I really do understand all the things everyone detests about gigging but for me, playing bass has been a privilege and a totally pleasure.....

    The new amp sounds great and looks the dogs as well. I'm using my trusty R400 tonight with a couple if compacts at High Green Social Club, Sheffield tonight...this amp is also awesome. Pics to follow.

    Get rid asap, its just not worth the hassle. Short term pain but long term gain. If this guy isnt even willing to communicate face to face or turn up for rehearsals then whats the point. Ive been in good bands that have been torn apart by arrogant, egotistical singers/guitarist and troublesome wifes/girlfriends and it just does not work out. Cut your losses mate, either get rid or find another band where everyone is rowing the same boat👍

    Ive rediscovered the Sensational Alex Harvey band. Absolutely phenomenal live. Great musicians, incredibly theatrical with a dark, sinister undertone. Saw them supporting Slade in Sheffield in the early 70's and l was hooked.....and 50 years later lm still hooked. Chris Glen is a very solid and underestimated bass player and as for Zal....just sensational. Check them out if you've never heard of them.

    Fender Precision 50's classic series Pickups that sound really good but swapped out for an upgrade to Norstrand NP4a. £35 posted, Cheers, Steve

    Cut for a Fender precision. Used once then taken off as I prefer Ernie Ball slinky strings, so they are basically brand new. 40/60/80/100 gauge. £15 posted.
