  1. Any updates Mr Scrumpy? Did you get it sorted?
  2. Bargain...just come back from a gig in Sheffield (Media Vale pub) using one of these and 2x Barefaced SC's....cracking sound, punchy and loud. GLWTS.
  3. I'm a big believer that these wonderful, vintage basses were made to be played. But what's the point of putting them under the bed or on a stand and staring at them. Fair enough, it costs an arm and a leg but you can insure them for damage or theft. I have a collector grade 71 fender Jazz (bought from Si off here) that I regularly gig in pubs in and around Sheffield and I have absolutely no qualms about doing it. It sounds absolutely epic too and it's a joy to know I'm playing a beautiful piece of Fender history.
  4. Hi, what did you replace the preamp valves with mate? Did you get them from Watford Valves? Cheers, Steve
  5. Sold a vintage Precision bass bridge to Paul recently, top man to deal with and fast/easy transaction too. Thanks Paul.
  6. What a great bargain for a great bass...loving the colour too. GLWTS pal.
  7. Google him...hes taught music etc and hes been a muso in a few bands. His description goes on a bit in the advert which he didnt need to do....especially when he says you can trust me!.......l wonder if Harold Shipman used to say the same haha
  8. All looks legit to me.........but what do I know?
  9. I am selling my rare vintage 1969 Fender Precision Bass Bridge in amazing condition. I bought my first professional bass in 1969 from Milners Musical Instrument shop in Sheffield. It was a sunburst Fender Precision and came in its case with a strap, lead and documentation/inspection tags. I had this bass until I sold it in early 1990's. However, in the 1980's I changed the bridge for a Badass MK11 bridge and the bass was sold with this bridge and minus the original covers. The original bridge, the one I'm selling now, was put in a plastic bag along with the bridge and pickup covers and put safely away in the loft with a pile of other things. During lockdown, I was pestered by my wife to have a clear out and I came across the original bridge (but without the 5 screws,..I'm guessing I must have used the screws for the new bridge, but I can't be sure). And now it's for sale and deserves a new owner after all these years. It's what I would class as in excellent condition, everything is original and works as it should. There is a little bit of surface rust on some of the saddle adjusting screws but nothing else and at 52 years old it's a lovely piece of Fender history. The bridge and pickup covers have already been sold. It will be posted securely, tracked and signed for. International buyers please contact me in the first instance for details and cost of International shipping.
  10. This is my Blue Eclipse 4 string....so easy to play and a really low action. A great sounding bass that can do all styles of music...

  17. What are the small holes in the back of the body?
  18. Its a beautifully made bass and a fantastic looker....I would imagine it sounds absolutely epic. GLWTS mate👍
  19. If you don't mind me asking what size are the slippers and are they for sale??
  20. This is a proper bargain mate........
  21. These truly are wonderful instruments to play. They have a really fast action with a Jazz feel type of neck, but the tones you can dial out of this beast is amazing. I have one of these but mine is a 1997 model that I have had converted into a fretless by Mr Shuker himself and it basically plays itself...... GLWTS mate, these don't come around at this price very often.
  22. I've just recently acquired one of these (MK 2 version) off basschat and it is absolutely epic. I use it with a couple of super compacts in rehearsals and it sounds warm, punchy, slightly compressed and loud. It will of course do other things too. Great price too...GLWTS bud!
  23. Very, very nice.......once played one similar in the late 70's, all aluminum neck and a little neck heavy... GLWTS
