  1. I would like to buy the Keeley compressor - PM sent
  2. What a beauty.........................
  3. Can't believe these are still lurking around. A pair of fantastic sounding, portable cabs for less than £300.....
  4. Simply beautiful............
  5. For sale is my Terror Bass 500 watts amplifier. Bought approximately 5 years ago as back up amp to my GK MB main stage amp. Hardly used and in very good condition and working order. I have always stored this amp indoors. There's slight peeling on the chrome handle but I think this is fairly common. It's very loud and powerful with vintage tones but if you are reading this you will already know how great these amps are. It's a hybrid amp with a valve preamp and a D class power stage. It also has a valve at the effects out stage adding warmth to any pedals you may use. It can operate at both 8 and 4 ohms and is switchable at the back. It's also nice and light weighing in at 5 kg. It comes with a carry case which is in as new condition and also a power lead. I'm only selling due to down sizing my equipment. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Steve
  6. Just out of interest, what year did you buy the thumb Mr Freedom? I remember being in the shop one day talking to the bass assistant and good friend Dave Ryan when in walked a guy who'd been on tour with Simply Red, carrying 4 Warwick Thumb basses. Dave offered him a price for all the lot and the deal was done. Wonder if one of the basses that day was one you bought......did you buy it second hand? Just jogging my memory for the year/decade.....must have been late 80's early 90's.
  7. Still for sale folks. As ped our administrator pointed out in an earlier post "Really good cabs, these. Really good! " Thanks again for the recommendation ped............he's right !
  8. Thank you Mr Bassman, the Ray plays like a dream. BTW, the one I'm playing in the pic is a 1994 Status Eclipse....so underrated and so easy to play...ideal for Funk and slapping. And thanks too ped....you know your onions.....these cabs together are ace!
  9. I've had one of these and if you see past all the knobs and slidey things they are quite easy to use, understand, and get a great sound from. However, the weight is the problem....but as long as you've got some strong roadies!
  10. Your amp and cab are to die for, I've heard your set up as my mate has the same rig and it's simply wondrous. I don't wish in any way to pee on your bonfire, but myself along with many other bassists are now going for powerful and light with a great sound. This means my current rig, which I love, is a GK 800 fusion and 2 Barefaced super compacts...it sounds the dogs to be honest... I wish you well with the sale because not so many years ago I would have crawled over broken glass wearing my speedos with a bunch of £20 crispy notes to plead with you to sell this to me. GLWTS bud. It's certainly going to make someone very happy.
  11. What's not to love about this highly portable and excellent sounding pair of speakers in great condition.
  12. You certainly have Sir....a beauty and a beast of a matching amp........would look great with those cabs stacked majestically underneath. And thank you.
  13. Sadly Mr Freedom, Electromusic is no longer........went into receivership this year....
  14. These are my Trusty pair of Warwick cabs I purchased brand new in 1998 from Electromusic in Doncaster. I have gigged with them ever since and have never missed a beat and have been absolutely reliable. Both cabs together sound amazing with sizzling highs due to the excellent tweeter, mids that cut through and are extremely defined and well controlled lows. These cabs are both 300 watts and are both 8 ohms each. I have used them with a variety of amps over the years, Ampeg/Orange/Mesa/Trace Elliot and currently a Gallien Kruger MB 800 fusion (which is in the picture and is not for sale) and the cabs have handled them brilliantly. I have had many compliments regarding my bass sound over the years with these great little cabs. You will not be disappointed. Both cabs are completely original and are in very good condition for their age. Both cabs had covers up to last Christmas where they were left at a pub in Sheffield and I never got them back which is a shame. I still have the yellow Warwick logos for both cabs but never stuck them on the front of the grills as I liked the look of them without. The dimensions of these bad boys are - Top Cab 2x8" speaker is 21" wide, 13.5" deep, 14" High. Bottom Cab 1x15" speaker is 21" wide, 13.5" deep and 21" high. They are both very portable and easy to handle. Pick up only and cash or Paypal with you paying the charges please. I'm based in Retford DN22 0AW Both cabs £295 and worth every penny. Sorry no offers. Thank you for looking.
  15. OMG total steal........................
  16. I've got one of these after moving from a QSC power amp/sansamp 21 pre and I must say once you've mastered the settings this is the best amp I have ever owned and I've owned most. Simply brilliant, light and very powerful. It's not for the faint hearted though. GLWTS mate.
  17. Top rig mate...I once owned the same equipment. Very good at reproducing the sound of your instrument. Whole rig looks to be in immaculate condition and an absolute steal for someone who knows what they're looking at GLWTS.
  18. Thank you one and all for all your advice and info. It's brilliant for getting technical things sorted. Sorry for derailing this thread Abitha.
  19. Thank you Dad for clearing that up. So, if I connected a 4 ohm cab to each speakon connection at the back would that bring it all down to 2 ohms and would that be safe? Sorry for sounding dumb
