  1. Price drop bump and up for trades for a P Bass (AVRI preferred or with cash on top for a Moollon or De Gier Soulmate P-type thing). And of course trades for a Stingray or Sabre Classic... ...and while we're on the topic, a nice sixer would be interesting - esp 34 inch scale TRB series
  2. New week, new bump with NEW TRADES (Ps and Sixers)
  3. Yup - saw them as a nipper at the Herne Hill Half Moon in '87. Blew the roof off the venue and covered everyone in flour. Intense (and intensely strange) epic-ness. Such a shame what happened. Brilliant musician!
  4. Sunday bump for a Ray Classic, US Geddy or AVRI swap!
  5. Amazing! Anyone got Geddy Lee's email
  6. Bump on this - still up for trades.
  7. Bumpity bump - any Stingray Classics out there looking for swaps? Or US Geddy or AVRI J basses?
  8. That is a pretty, pretty bass! GLWTS...

  10. Cheers all. It's a fabulous instrument and totally brings out the teenage thumb merchant in me (where's my sticky tape?)
  11. Withdrawn for now due to nothing happening. It's a fantastic Swiss army knife of a bass and looks too pimp to lose. It's fast and bulbous too. New mission - save up for a Steinberger! I'll leave the vid up for a tone demo - these are fantastic sounding instruments
  12. I would go for a Stingray classic with a maple board (as long as it's not a heavy one). Just a dream live and they sound incredible in the studio with old round wounds. Just the right amount of edge and endless thump. They tend to go for between 1 and 1.3K so you'll have change. I honestly don't think I would spend any more for a different model even if I could. I've used standard US Stingrays in the past and not got on with them. The three band version was always a struggle against 'clickiness'. 2 band preamps are my preferred option but I just find the necks feel uncomfortable. The classic neck (with the 7.25 inch radius) sits in the hand beautifully.
  13. Oooooohhh - next bass purchase will be a classic Ray. I miss my old white one SO MUCH...
  14. I love Victor Bailey. Pure musicality...
  15. Macprovideo courses are good in my experience. Some very good tutors and very well put together. Loads and loads of Logic and Ableton deep dive stuff in there.
  16. Fab instrument! Cheers Kev!
  17. That's a gorgeous jazz. GLWTS!
  18. Very nice!
  19. Ah I miss my XL2 transitional - these are thunderous basses with just a glorious feel and sound.
  20. When I'm in the lulls with my band, I dive into the world of Ableton Live and virtual modular stuff like VCV rack/Voltage Modular. Endless fun and very good for the synapses. Fantastic writing tools too.
