  1. Well @Rayman, is there another cream one on the way? 😉
  2. Route out the back of the body to lighten it and then counter the neck dive by the popping some lead weights in the newly made cavity. Anything else you need help with just give us a shout. 🫡
  3. Funnily enough I've just been playing mine and was messing about with string bends up that end (I don't normally) and I find they really help. Instead of your finger sitting on the fretboard and the string being kind of trapped between your fingertip and fret, with the scallop your finger sits lower and the string sits higher on your fingertip and slides along the fret much easier. Hard to explain but I find bends are easier and cleaner with the scallop. Hope that helps. Sorry to jump on your sale thread @BaggyMan, GLWTS it's a fantastic bass in the best colour.
  4. I love the Shergold/Hayman-esque vibes these basses give off. 😎

  11. I suppose, although I'm no aficionado, it's a catch all, umbrella term for country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, etc without having the snobby "that's New Orleans Jazz not Appalachian Mountain Bluegrass" catagorising. One of the bands I play in does Mod(60s & rivival), Ska(1st & 2nd wave) and Northern Soul, there is also a crossover from punk where ska was prevalent. We could do with a similar catch all term as I usually just say "the Mod band" but you can get the odd '"The Clash aren't Mod", or similar comments. Unfortunately, catagories are annoying and useful in equal quantities.
  12. That ebay 2024 is the bass that was owned by James Lomenzo prior to his custom built silverburst BB with the P, reverse P and mudbucker pickups. Very much his "gateway drug" in Yamaha BBs. I may have made that up, I can't say 🤫... but who knows.
  13. I have a luthier built 4005 (in my avatar) which is identical to a genuine one, even genuine RIC parts, so to the local scrote is the real thing. It's my regular gig bass at upmarket and rough as rats venues. Why wouldn't you take a decent bass to a gig? Just look after it.
  14. Whirlwind - NMA
  15. I'm loving that one. The colour on the headstock, and I'm assuming the neck, is fantastic. Very aged white is my favourite, and cream p/u covers. Mojotastic! 😎
  16. And that's just the short version 😉

  20. Evidently Chickentown - John Cooper Clarke
  21. That Smell - Skynyrd
  22. Toiletburst 😂
  23. Quite possibly the worst looking finish any manufacturer has ever come up with. Absolutely the most hideous colour combo burst, and then replicating it on the pickguard is another level of foul. Like watching someone be sick, and then eat it again. It's not for me, if you were wondering. 😁
  24. Boys Don't Cry - The Cure
  25. Whatcha Gonna Do About It - Small Faces
