    It's a quandary as it stands however, I'd be inclined to cancel. I agree that current Govt advice is wishy washy but I think we should all be prepared for that stance to harden significantly over the next 7-14 days.

    I had one for a few years. Quite a nice bass in general terms. The active preamp was a bit ropey but overall it was good fun!

    Not everyone's taste but certainly mine. This was a huge influence on me. Jeff Berlin is one of my favourite players. I was lucky enough to spend a bit of time with Alan Holdsworth a few years ago... such a lovely, humble man. He was an absolutely astounding talent.

    Agree 100% regarding the Steinberger: one of the pinnacles of bass guitar design IMO. Disagree 100% regarding the 'amorphous' Spector description: one of the pinnacles of bass guitar design IMO (and yes, Warwick 'borrowed' the design). I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I had the funds.

    It was indeed due to a rogue batch of Mahogany and the fact that the demand for Jaydee basses outstripped the capacity for on-point QC (at that time). I had one of these during the late 80s and the neck developed a back bow which would rival a banana. The only bass that ever made me cry. I'm over it now.

    Fantastic singer and bassist. I loved Budgie back in the day. Healing thoughts go out to Burke; that final Budgie release could also be very interesting.

    I think so. Mine was really nice overall but the pickup routing on the bridge pup was oversized and very sloppy (surprising given the CNC tech).

    I can totally relate: My experience with the flea was the same. Oddly enough, I found the pups much too 'dark' .

    Beautiful flame ash on the natural finish, never seen that before on a Vigier. Great basses!

    I know that Ian Waller and Pete the Fish at Wal insisted that the dense and heavier Mahogany core was a prerequisite for 'that sound'. I'm guessing Chris May is on the same page?
