I think any MIDI to USB host will work.

Whenever I'm using IEMs, about half of my gigs, I don't miss having an amp at all. My bass sounds way clearer using IEMs.

You should a chat with the guy about this and see if you can resolve it, but if you're not happy with the situation then something obviously has to change. If you get on with the drummer, trumpet and other keys player personally & creatively, then consider dropping the sax/keys/vocals guy and either find a replacement or just carry on without him.

No worries Harry. Of the two, the MIDI Mouse is the simplest to use. You use the L & R switches to scroll to the preset number you want, then you hit the middle switch to engage. So you don’t need your synth patches to be in numerical order. There are some YouTube videos showing the switch in use.

If you're just after a 2 switch controller for up and down switching, have a look at the Disaster Area DMC Micro or Tech 21 MIDI Mouse. Stay well away from the One Control Gecko as it's a real pain to program.

I picked one up recently. I gigged it last week and was pleasantly surprised with how good it sounded at decent volume. It didn’t have the rich sub low end that my Berg HD112 has, but I only paid £120 for the Eden (used) and I don’t feel at all like I wasted my money. It’s a keeper.

I still mainly use my Berg HD112 but power it with a GSS Baby Sumo 600W power amp. For smaller gigs I just got an Eden EX112, got it for a steal, it sounds good and it's dead light.

I've got a 06B400 6.5" combo too, it's great. I'll probably splash for one of their 12" cabs next year.

As small and portable as it is, I'd say it wouldn't fit in a gig bag pocket. It's 13 x 8 x 20cm and weighs 1.5Kg. When I travel light to gigs I have a small backpack for my Sumo & leads, a bass in a gig bag in one hand, and my Metro16 Stomp board in a soft case in the other hand. Easy. If I'm driving it's the same, just with my cab too.

I'm a long time user of Seymour Duncan's pick ups on my Ps. But I recently bought a Fender Pure Vintage 63 and it blows all of my SDs off the map. (If I remember correctly the 63 has lightly less mids and slightly more bass than the 62 model) My 63 was £125, so not cheap, but so worth it. I won't be buying any more SDs.

Has anybody managed to get a convincing OC-2 sound out of the Stomp? I've never owned one so I have no first hand experience of how they sound. I'd be grateful of some settings to get me in the ball park.

I had an expression pedal for a bit but I found that I was mainly using it to change parameters from one value to another. I can do that with a switch.

I'd love to see integrated wireless too.
