6. my last one was after an argument that the singer sang everything like Brian Johnson and I mean evrything! which would have been fair enough in an AC DC tribute but we werent, it was cringe worthy and as the rest of the band were best mates with each other i walked.....regrets given = 0
7. Ive just bought a 2nd hand Ibanez ATK200 and it weighs about as much as the Isle of Man!
8.
I saw the thread title and thought "50 basses? That must have cost a bit..."...
haha yeah it does look a bit like that.
9. Ok so I hit the big 5-0 in September and ive decided to celebrate the occasion with a custom build ( a year of birth bass is a bit limited and expensive) been chatting to Chris about it for a while and late last year I finally pulled the trigger, so far the spec is swamp ash back with a buckeye burl top, single Nordstrand Bigman pickup with 3 band active eq, 4 string, 24 fret maple/maple neck and hipshot hardware. I chose the top wood and this is it. Cant believe Im looking forward to being 50 so much! 10.
Don't know if this has been mentioned, can't see it, but their feedback is good and they have different types http://www.ebay.co.u...%3D331635891360
I got a maple Jazz neck off them for my Precision, beautiful flame in it, really nicely finished as well.
11.
Becuase Terry Wogan wasn't a musician so i thought i would choose this bloke.
there you go then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3Y4HufJ1oE
12. sorry but there wasnt a Lemmy thread or a Jimmy Bain or a Chris Squire thread maybe its just me then that doesnt see the need to all of a sudden gush all over a tragic death?
13. It was basically a clear coat over the maple, I got it off ebay, had all the correct mighty mite stamps on it.
14. Nope not got one, not a fan and cant remember a similar thread for others that have sadly passed away, so why him?
15. what a gorgeous colour!
16. did you try screwing the pups as far down into the body as possible?
17. Mighty Mite are fine, I got brand new maple board non tint jazz neck for £80 last year, fit perfectly, I would imagine a P neck would be the same.
18. Why not get the Harley Benton Pj4 and either pay someone to convert it or do it yourself, £86 for the bass so its well within budget.
19. Im having a bass built by Alpher for my 50th in sept and Chris is going to incorperate my date of birth in the serial number
20. Its just a coincidence but I agree they do have plenty of bite and growl!
21. Not a fan but RIP this is turning into seriously bad year.
22. http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=3614 Is this the article that was reffered to earlier? I had it in both elbows at once and I found the straps really do help a lot as well, I never actually tried the excercises so cant comment on them but I bookmarked it just in case

24.
Sorry, but if you book a female opera singer with no orchestra, that's what you get.
I would expect a world renown female opera singer to be able to hold a note regardless of whether there was an orchestra present or not., maybe her autotune wasnt switched on
25. I`ll drop this in here, as bad as Flea`s version of the American national anthem was, nothing can top this godawfull rendition of God Save The Queen...............take it away Lesley Garrett (skip to 1.20) https://www.youtube....h?v=-cIOH2KTn4c
