    Picked up a Yamaha BB425X from Chris's house last week while en route to our jolly holidays. Chris is a great guy, hospitable and indulgent with me having a go through his thunderous rig. The bass? Exactly as described. Deal with confidence - thanks Chris!!

    The Embassy looks as if it is going up to £349, at least where retailers have stock. That still strikes me as being a good price though.

    Yep, "splodgy" is a good word. Looks a bit like a Music Man Ray gone wrong to me . But then, I still think the Explorer shape look quite radical ("invented" 1958)
