we do anyway, it's called VAT. If they export it directly to you from, say, Germany. The German sale won't have German VAT (19% IIRC) but it will attract a duty and VAT charge in this country. But the price paid may be a little cheaper due to exchange rates. We'll have to see what happens

My Police tribute played a beach festival in Crete. Matala, where there are caves to explore. Joni Mitchell sang about them I think, or it might have been Janis Joplin. We played to thousands of people, it was just incredible Then, one night, we played in Worcester at The Marrs Bar. 7, yes, 7 people came to see us. They got the full show.

sounds as good as it gets really. When I was building my range of valve guitar amps, the major companies lent me stuff for the shows. JHS were lending out HK pa equipment (until the whole lot got stolen at a service station), Gibson lent me a Les Paul, someone else let me have a left handed guitar. PRS even lent me a Johnny Hiland guitar (Johnny was trying our stuff out with my Strat, so we ran to PRS and they gave us the JH guitar)

I won't tell how good the guitar is that's just arrived but Even I'm amazed how they do it for the money. The proof will be in the pudding as the guitar will get gigged with the Weller tribute that I'm in

Used Hartke for many years. It was always very good. I still have one of the later HA3500 with the silver front. It sits in my practice room, unused these days as I've just put my old ampeg in there, since switching to Ashdown

actually my first is a 335 a like. The VSA500CR because I'm in a Paul Weller tribute (playing Steve's parts) I already have a Vintage Geoff Whitehorn signature guitar, which I've had over 10 years now. Extreme bang for buck and I'm done with buying expensive guitars, if I don't have to. I'll probably get a vintage bass or two aswell

It's means I have access to their products (at artist rates), which I will promote. It's a great thing.

I'm just in the process of rehearsing a Paul Weller tribute band, called 'Stanley Road'. It features my Police tribute guys and their bass player from their Jam Tribute called 'Total Jam' I'll be playing the part of Steve Craddock. Some of those solo songs are REALLY good

as Terry Pratchett wrote in one of his books, Money In.......Music Out. Can you bring your band and play for free? Er I would, of course but they need the money as it's all they do, so couldn't afford to play for free. I also often say that I'm not really interested in music, it's the performing thing that I really love

First actual gig on bass was a school concert. We were the support band. I had been playing 6 months. We played some T.Rex, Buddy Holly, The Jam, The Knack It was November 8th 1981 (Rememberance day) I was 13 years old. The drummer from that band now plays keys for Toyah and we still see each about First Pub gig, The Louis Armstrong in Dover. 1986. I was 17. Same landlady to this day

agreed. When I started playing in 1981 I already had 6 years of violin and scales. The arpeggiating thing worked for me (helped me learn guitar chords too) so I quickly learned how to play rock n roll stuff. But it took another 7 years to understand 'walking bass lines'

I still have my PF-500. A couple of times I had my sound cut out, changed my guitar lead etc etc. (my first one went wrong, fault light came on etc) Then at a gig is Cardiff I used 2 x cabs. One started cutting out, so I changed my speaker leads from Speakon, to jacks and never had the problem again. I don't know how a speakon connects but I suspect there is / was a dirty or faulty connection somewhere. Either a cab, or the amp. The fact that one cab cut out and they are daisy chained probably makes it the cab? (I can't remember if I changed the speakon lead for a different speakon lead)

yep, I've recently started gigging with the RM 500 EVO ll head. Very good it is too. I may change to Ashdown cabs at some point, just so it matches
