  1. Cheers Stu! Appreciate it 😁
  2. 😂 it was!! I'd have loved that Ultra wave.
  3. When i was touring and playing anything from 2-7k venues (Not always filled 😂) I was using a powered Bergantino IP112 (1k watts) with an AE112 extension, with a 3 leaf enabler pre. It was too bloody loud, and I had it as quiet as I could and still got complaints. I went direct with a small wedge monitor controlled from the desk. Didn't sound anywhere near as good as the Bergy but no complaints and I could hear myself fine 😁
  4. Lol of course it did 😂
  5. Slight Clarification to that part of my post! The fenders I had were on a bass Id bought, but chances are they'd died down. I still found them medium tension, definately a middle ground between labellas and TI, I didn't keep them on long, as I put EB cobalts on that bass. Tension is subjective 😁
  6. I've tried a couple Labella Deep Talkin - very stiff to play and a very deep, rich thump. Very punchy and warm, no highs at all. Very smooth windings and lovely to play, classic P tone. They have a low tension set too, which have the same smooth feel and a similar tone, but very pliant and "Bendy" very easy to get about on. D'addario Chromes- once again quite stiff, and you can feel the wraps under your fingers. They have a very prominent high mid "clank" to my ears, but smooth out to a punchy thump over time. Great strings for rock. Ernie Ball Cobalts- these have a very low tension and are lovely to play, almost similar tension to the same gauge rounds (slight difference) you can feel the wraps on these, but not as much as the chromes. These are the perfect strings as a gateway to flats, as they have a bright tone, reminiscent of slightly worn in nickel roundwounds. I've recently converted my old jazz to passive/vintage specs and I intend to put a set of these on it. Thomastik Infeld - my faves! They have a very low tension "loose" feel, that many don't like, but a breeze to get about on.the wraps are fairly smooth so nice under the fingers. They have a very sweet bright tone, but a very tight bottom so initially don't have The thump of other flats, but darken over time. It's a quality tone, as you'd imagine from a company that primarily makes strings for orchestral instruments, I have these on my P bass. Fender - these have a medium tension and have a fairly smooth feel. Not much in the way of highs, but a decent warm thump, sortve how you'd imagine a flat would sound like with a P bass. There's nothing wrong with these strings at all (I think they are made by GHS or maybe D'addario i could be wrong), but I found the tone a bit "meh"🤣 but they are the cheapest of the bunch (that I've tried, the Adagio may be cheaper), and I'd certainly recommend you try these, to see if you like flats. A bit like trying Whiskey for the first time. If you like it, then many more flavours of flat avail able😁
  7. That does rather more than I initially thought too! All the more sick i didn't jump on this. Congrats on the sale gents, I know it's going to a good home 😁
  8. My Old pedal! Loved it to bits, unfortunately not in a financial position to get this back.
  9. Yeah me too 😁
  10. I bought this fantastic bridge fairly recently from the wonderful Eubassics (I hope you don't mind me nicking the pic😁) I've had it on my P bass, and more recently my Jazz (replacing a badass2) I've decided to go full on vintage spiral saddled on my fenders. This is in very good "as new" condition and is the 19" version,so made for Fenders. It is fantastically made and features, grooves to stop the saddles moving and has a steel base plate with Brass saddles. It's still good bit thicker than a BBOT and as such has a bit more punch and sustain, I liken it to a halfway house between a BBOT and a badass2, but with a classic vintage look. It also has a back section to cover up your ball ends, all in all a very elegant look. Therefore used in a lot of high end basses, notably Nordstrand, and is a quality upgrade. SOLD!!!
  11. Yes i am 🤣🤣 A new bass,means I'm having to sell,otherwise I'd be after this.
  12. @Kolossusuk It would certainly work wonders, filling out your tone, while the guitarist solos. It can be set as a very thick regular fuzz (A la Big muff) but retain dynamics (less fuzz when you play softer, more balls and dirt when you dig in). As fair as retaining your basses tone, it doesn't have a clean blend, although with the EQ It is not short on bottom end. I have ran this on my board with a Boss LS2 which can add your clean signal and I can honestly say, having the clean in,doesn't necessarily sound bigger! although It is nice if you play softly to give the tone you described (clean sound, with a hint of distortion running parallel) With the gain set lower, it does clean up and yiur basses natural tone, will be more present, but as I said it doesn't have a clean signal.
  13. The "Key lime pie" bass!! I actually love it 😁
  14. Price drop to £130 delivered!
  15. Oooh no! I'd love to try one of these.
  16. Nice demos Bas! I love the 2nd one, like a dirty organ sound😁
  17. Want a new bass, so letting go if one the the Cutest yet wildest pedals ever! The Hotone Krush is a bit crusher/sample rate reducer, so anything from quasi clavinet tones to knackered radio to rabid robo rabbit of Care Bannock. Seriously though it's very musical little pedal, and anyone whose been Bit curious, but doesn't want to pay £150+ used, will love this little guy. It's also tiny pink and looks like a 50's robot face (sounds like one too) it has three modes, the normal ones cool, but has a vintage radio mode and phonogram for even more lofi madness. I've had expensive bit crushers and thus gives me as much as they did at a fraction of the cost. It's even more usable than the Mooer Lofi which I've had. Features bit crush/sample rate controls as well as a mix to keep your bass signal in to preserve note definition. Only letting go,as my C4 does a decent enough job of bit crush,To make this redundant. This is in as new condition and boxed, with high quality velcro. Sold
  18. Up for you Dirt Connoisseurs, I'm offering my Mint condition Red Ripper. a very very versatile and dynamic synthy fuzz/distortion. It features a well voiced 3 band EQ and is all Analog. The magic lies in the the RIP control which when used in conjunction with the gain control can give lots of fuzz tones. This pedal can cover big muff fuzz, but with the ability to add mids (bass and treble too) It is also very touch sensitive,So it can get that moog like tone on lower gain like a 3 leaf Doom or aggressive quasi envelope filtered tones like a prunes and custard. Put the RIP and the gain up high, and it goes into brassmaster territory, giving industrial sounding octave up tones, perfect for Muse like tones. It also cleans up very well to,so with the gain and RIP down you can get a very pleasing and dynamic overdrive. All in all a very useful one stop solution to OD/Distortion/fuzz. This pedal is brand new! It has no dings or scratches whatsoever and other than I have added high quality Velcro, this is as it left the factory 10/10 condition with the Tin (I believe Tech21 don't use these anymore) and all the box candy. I have put this on a board, but haven't used it other than at home. SOLD!!! Link to Tech21 page https://www.tech21nyc.com/archive/red-ripper/
  19. Sheps a legend!!
  20. If only it were a 5 blah blah 😂 Fantastic basses and orange is the funkiest colour!!
  21. A cornucopia of rare and interesting pedals, and a fantastic seller. 😁
  22. Yes the tone is more stingray ish! How do you find the series/single modes?
  23. I'm very intrigued as to what the extra knob does! piezo volume?
  24. I'd be very interested to hear how you find the stomp compares with your other pedals?
  25. All done! Check out the edit on my post. mine isn't anywhere as neat as yours,Especially as I use pre existing patch cables (struggled with this and had to buy more) and daisy chain quite a few. Careful Moley6knipe you're starting a pedalboard "upskirting" trend 🤣
