Fender USA P Bass 2008 Olympic White Now Soldpaulpirie8 replied to richardd's topic in Basses For Sale
It's Another way .To help seller and buyer Ted . not everyone has the cash all in one go.so they can buy the Bass they want over a period , with no interest charges
Great idea! I've offered something similar myself in the past and it worked out really well! I'd be seriously interested myself if I hadn't just put down a deposit on a Barefaced cab! All the best with the sale! There are loads of similar threads to this one, you should do a search for some of them. And there are loads of pedal demonstrations on youtube to get a good idea of the sound before you splash out on something based on a recommendation. Also, "I am not excane" has a good thread with lots of pedal demonstrations, not just OD: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/138296-my-pedal-demo-video-collection-free-pedal-giveaway/page__hl__pedal%20demos Paul

Yeah one of our videos got added to the NME website as well but none of us know how...

We seem to have had a surge in people giving our page a "like" because of this thread! Thanks to all that have and to the OP for starting the thread! Paul

worst amp you have owned or had the luck to usepaulpirie8 replied to stu_g's topic in Amps and Cabs The worst amp I've ever had to use was an old Trace Elliot 4x10 combo which was the house amp at a venue I played. I'm not a fan of Trace stuff at the best of times but this thing was the most pokey, farty thing I've ever heard in my life. Truly awful! The worst part is that people still regularly use it at that venue! Paul

I quite like it too. Never rated Newsted as a vocalist and still don't after that but he was always my favourite Metallica bassist.
They're not the prettiest band I've seen. It's very 'early Metallica' too...
+1. Reminds me of "Whiplash" slightly. The middle section was pretty groovy too, i thought. Paul
Another BIG +1 for the Diago Powerstation.... Great bit of kit and the compatability chart on their website is really useful!! http://www.diago.co....patibility.html
I've never noticed that before! That is extremely handy! Cheers, Paul

Not sure what the reserve on this is but someone could end up gettting a real bargain. A guy is selling his whole pedal board complete with all of his pedals. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1438.l2649

The one I use is called a Diago Micropower. It's 9v and (I think) 1000mA so it would power your pedals no problem. It just has one plug and you use a daisy chain connector to the others. These particular ones are generally about £40 for both the power unit and daisy chain adaptor. I'm sure you could find cheaper options as well but I've found this one to be the best value. Paul
Broke Dick Peanut Gallery. Best Overdrive I've ever used... And I've owned one or two!
Ah ok cool. I'm actually on the lookout for a good overdrive. Not sure I have the patience to wait for a Fuzzrocious though. Any other stand-outs for you? Cheers, Paul
-
What is the other Fuzzrocious pedal you have? (Dark blue, finger paint)

I would recommend Pistola by Incubus as one to learn. Might not be your thing but I find it very fun to play, the middle section in particular. Paul

Sennheiser Earphones - Mine keep breakingpaulpirie8 replied to xilddx's topic in General Discussion
I'm really pissed off about it. The moulded sleeves on the minijack keep splitting and f***ing them up. They aren't cheap either.
I've had the same problem with every pair of earphones I've ever owned. Sennheisers have been the best so far but even still, I normally only get about 6-12 months use out of them. I suppose i'm not very careful with them, I usually have my iPod in my pocket so this must put a fair amount of strain on the jack. When you're paying £30+ on them though you would expect them to be a bit more durable. If you find a reasonably priced alternative, please do share. Paul

Told myself about a year ago that I'd start trying out loads of different strings to find the perfect set. First set I tried out was a set of Rotosound flats and haven't bought anything else since. They feel and sound lurvley. I probably should try some others though. Paul
