  1. Why do these always come up for sale at the opposite end of the country to me! 😭

  4. What a bargain, even with the toneprint issue! I've had a few TC heads over the years and one of mine had the same issue. Unfortunately I never got to the bottom of it but it was never a problem for me as I didn't use the toneprint effects. If I was bit a bit closer to you I would have had this as a backup.
  5. I have a shipping box that I'd be able to wrap it in if the buyer was happy to cover shipping costs and any insurance they might want to include
  6. TC Electronics BH550 head. Comes with the TC Switch-3 pedal(worth £70 on it's own) and a TC gig bag. Really loud when paired with my RS212 cab. Great condition, lovely amp, only selling as I've just picked up a TC Staccato head. Would consider trades for a good preamp pedal. Collection from Whitley Bay.
  7. Pair of RCF Art 310a active speakers. Some age-related scratches but fully functioning. Collection from Whitley Bay.
  8. Yamaha APX 4A-SPL. Semi-Acoustic. Marine burst blue flamed sycamore top. Nato neck, back and sides. Cream binding. Fretboard Indian rosewood. 22 frets. 3 band EQ. I've owned this from new(over 20 years). One thing to point out is that is has got some dulling of the paintwork(mainly the dark sections around the edges) You'll see this better if you zoom in on the photo. This was caused by foolishly applying a painted pattern some time ago(not by me I might add!). This doesn't affect the playability though but maybe not for you if you want a perfect finish. As always, bass related trades considered. Collection from Whitley Bay.
  9. Yamaha F-310 Acoustic Guitar. I've owned this from new and is around 20 years old. It's had a fair few knock over the years and has the scars to prove it but nothing that affects the playability. As always, bass related trades considered. Collection from Whitley Bay.
  10. Squier Bullet Telecaster. Butterscotch with Indian laurel fretboard. Good condition. As always, bass related trades considered. Collection from Whitley Bay or I have a shipping box if you want to arrange your own courier.
  11. Is this still available?
  12. I think that the feet are a good addition. I'm forever worrying that I'm scuffing the bottom of my RS212 every time I put it down on my garage floor.
  13. There's always the option to post! 😄 I'm really surprised that I haven't had many bites on this as it's a lovely bass. I'm going down the route of lightweight 5 string basses these days but I may well end up hanging this one on the wall when I redecorate my home office!
  14. Love my B5. These bases are great value and very well built. GLWTS.
  15. Was just about to say the same thing. I use a wireless in-ear set up but this has got me thinking about a wireless mic set up...
  16. Played a gig last night at my local squash club with a band that I haven't played with since before lockdown. It was arranged fairly last minute as fundraiser for Ukrainian families who've ended up here in the north east. It didn't look like it was going to be well attended due to the early tickets sales numbers but we were pleasantly surprised that the place was almost full on the night with a great friendly/family atmosphere. We played 2 sets of Brit Pop covers with me also singing lead vocals all night. I normally play in a classic rock covers band sharing a quarter of the lead vocals so I woke up this morning feeling a little bit hoarse. The drummer's son has been learning the guitar so we got him up for a few songs which made his parents and grandparent's very proud! The drummer played an electric kit which, although I'm not a massive fan of electric kits, made for a much more manageable backline sound. The only negative thing about the night was that the room was really warm as we couldn't open the windows while we were playing due to the nearby houses, one of which was the guitarist's parent's house which was literally across the street! I'm not normally a sweater but it was running down my forehead in buckets last night! That could also have been due to the fact that I was flying by the seat of my pants on a few of the newer songs that we threw in at the last minute as I was reading the lyrics from my phone, whilst also controlling the mixing desk from a tablet(not normally my job in my regular band). We made it through the night without too many mistakes, the audience went home happy and we raised some money for a worthy cause.
  17. I know where you're coming from with the comment about the older covers not going down that well. Back in the 90s my band used to play Clapton, Stones, Eagles, ZZ top, Stevie Ray Vaughan etc which was probably before our time back then. This wasn't a problem as our target audience were people in their 40s, 50s and 60s and we always went down really well. As the years have passed, our original audience has either died or just stopped going to pubs because they are too old! (Sad fact of life). That said, my band played a gig at the weekend and I was talking to a member of the audience after the gig and he said that remembered me from my first band back in the early 90s so maybe there's a few of them left hanging on after all!
  18. I think Ibanez did a great job on the relic work on these. Very tempted!
