Bass player wanted for funky, prog, metal band in London
Shockwave replied to AlexEncoded's topic in Bassists Wanted
Have to agree. This is right up my street but there is no audible bass from a bass. The guitar is way too high in the mix. -
Hello all. I have a Fully loaded Blue/Black Flame Veneer precision bass body for sale. No idea where it came from. What I do know is that the electrics all work no problems, takes standard Fender dimension necks. Solid wood that looks like Alder. It is a completely medium/standard weight for a P body. There are some dings in the finish but no chips. Most scratches are on the edge or the back of the body and are hard to photograph. The Scratchplate has a mystery screw hole on the scratchplate partially covered by one of the control knobs. The Screws are a bit mucky as well. Collection from either my house in Dagenham or Central London. Price is firm at 40 quid.

Hello all. We are Ships Down, an established Hardcore Punk rock band. We play technical and fast punk rock to the unsuspecting masses. Unfortunately we are losing one of our guitarists at the end of October so we need a replacement. We are looking for someone who can jump in with the material learned as soon as our current guitarist leaves. Our influences are A Wilhem Scream, Strike Anywhere, No Trigger and Propagandhi. Our demo is here https://shipsdown.bandcamp.com/releases https://www.facebook.com/ShipsDown/?fref=ts Ideally we are looking for someone who knows how to write material in the style of our influences, someone who knows how to control their dynamics (Loud AND Quiet!), a team player and NO egos. Backing vocals are a plus, but not essential. We do play a few covers to pad out the longer sets. A Wilhelm Scream - The Horse No Trigger - Owner Operator Rancid - Maxwell Murder We will be recording a debut album or long EP at the beginning of 2017. We have gigs lined up and we have a following. We currently practice on Tuesdays or Thursdays at our own practice place with storage in Manor House. Costs are £20 per month per band member.

Those saddles look adjustable from side to side, can you confirm?

Well the entire Telecaster nut is 42/43mm. The Silvertones is more like 40/41mm. Thought the tele was wider! However it does help with the range of guitars I could use!

NBD Fender Tony Franklin Fretless Precision
Shockwave replied to EliasMooseblaster's topic in Bass Guitars
Now there's a curious coincidence! (And very reassuring that I'm not the only one who was impressed with the sound of it!) You weren't the chap trying a bass out in the other corner when I came in, by any chance?
Nah I don't think so. I was chatting to one of the Tom's. There was an Asian guy ripping some Level 42 lines if I remember. -

Was in the shop when you were trying this out. Sounded pretty good to my ears! -
Hello all Currently I have a telecaster copy which has a very wide neck with wide spacing. I also have a Silvertone Paul stanley signature model. (Les paul alike) which has a much thinner neck and shorter scale. The neck is far too narrow to be comfortable for me (bass players sausage hands) So I am looking to offload the Silvertone and purchase a set neck humbucker equipped guitar second hand that is a suitable width. Any suggestions?

Tried out a Fender Jaguar USA about 7 months ago, I very nearly left the shop with it. Very versatile bass. They should sell like hot cakes but most people wouldn't even try them.

Wow, impressive spec for the money!

Wunjos has a 5 string version quite a bit cheaper then this. The -
Been thinking, but I don't recall anything exactly like that. Try and compromise Exact Stingray sweetspot is the issue.

I have had two pedullas. All maple basses. Both with Bart pre and pickups and sounded awful, dark, low powered and polite. There is some credence to the idea they are dark and low output.

Someones already selling their Flea Jazz on ebay!

More likely that the weather affects your ears rather then the bass sound.

Jazz Bass Body
Shockwave replied to Fitzy73's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Definitely a Fernandes Limited edition Jazz bass body. Though with an added hole for the 4th pot. The control access plate is the exact same (And unusual) https://www.avito.ru/vladivostok/muzykalnye_instrumenty/fernandes_jazz_bass_limited_edition_made_in_japan_746399747 http://en.audiofanzine.com/electric-fretted-bass/fernandes/jazz-bass-limited-edition/medias/pictures/a.play,m.772881.html -
Hipshot will make a Low profile version of the Supertone. They made one for me for my RD Custom. It cost a bit, but they will do it.
