1.
I think this is a prime example of someone using a luxury provided by their location. It's great for him and others living, for example, in the central north cities. This is great for the seller. The frustration here is, of course, for the buyer if you live in some of the more off-the-beaten-track places. In those cases you can be reading all the threads only to see the bass you're desperate to buy, but you can't have it without a 4 hours drive. Maybe we should develop a code to put in the title? We all understand "FS:". maybe we should replace this with "CO:" for collection only?
Not much point I find, Unless you put CO and the location, with title space at a premium anyway. Having a large buyers pool in London is practically the only "Luxury" I have living here. I would much rather live in the sticks and the advantages that gives me (Having some quality time and be able to afford a property!) then have a large buyers pool!
2. I would never post a bass anymore. Not only have I had more then one bad experience, I also have so little time and resources to actually post an instrument, let alone deal with insurance if something goes wrong. Living in London means that I have a huge amount of potential buyers within my range, so for me it really makes sense to sell locally. I am just more patient about it, I shouldnt be bad mouthed for it (Which I have on here in the past). After all, it is my property and only I can decide how to sell it.

4. Practically unused set of Wilkinson MWJB jazz bass pickups. Bridge and neck position. Sounds lovely and clear and a good cheap upgrade from stock pickups. Installed in a Jazz bass once, used for an hour. £25 Shipped or £20 picked up from Wimbledon London. If these don't sell by tomorrow, I will be putting them up on ebay. Payment by Bank transfer.

Hello everyone. I have a deconstructed Harley Benton progressive bass. I stripped the body of electrics and paint, tried a pathetic attempt at a refinish and gave up. I haven't got enough time to work on it. The paint needs to be cut back and the body resanded/filled. Everything else worked absolutely fine, have no idea why the bass was considered a deko, sounded brilliant! So to reiterate, this includes all parts needed to put the bass back together. Pickups, pre-amp, tuners, mono bridge pieces etc etc. £30 Picked up from my place in Southfields London or it can be picked up at my workplace this Monday/Tuesday in Chelsea. Will make a great project. Very impressed with the quality of the parts. Body and neck are very lightweight.

8. Ships Down are looking for a lead vocalist! We are a Melodic Hardcore punk band look for the last piece in the puzzle to get gigging and recording. Our influences include Strike Anywhere, Propaghandi, Letlive, A Wilhelm Scream and No Trigger. We have a 40 minute set of material a mixture of originals and covers. We practice at a very cheap rehearsal space in Manor House most Tuesdays or Wednesdays. All equipment provided. We are looking for a vocalist who can sing/shout to a high standard, on time and in Key. Previous band experience and good stage presence is a must! Videos of our originals will be provided on request. Either message us here, on our Facebook page or Email [email protected] for more details.
9.
Rob, you're more than welcome to park your bass and yourself next to me. I will have a spare stand space, and enough stuff to mix and match 2 rigs at any one time.
Awesome! See you tomorrow!

11. Can anyone spare some room for my single bass on their perch? I can bring a stand, but I am not bringing an amp etc. Otherwise i'll come bassless
12. My faves being the Bit Commander, Hummingbird and The Terminal! Especially run all at the same time!
13.
Here are a couple of photos as a sneak preview Juan Alderete and Steve Lawson by Rob Telford, on Flickr
I knew folding my arms would make me look like security for the event :-(
14. I'd love to meet them! The Dancer is my fave tune!
15. I have a Rosewood fingerboard 3 band stingray that I genuinely love. It is lightweight and a great player. I am addicted to midrange growl and I am after the most consistently growly tone where I don't necessarily have to dig in to get it. I usually prefer maple fingerboards for tone as well. Will the characteristics of a graphite neck help me achieve something closer to what I want? I have had statii basses with graphite necks. But never liked the tone of status basses. (Not a fan of the pickups) Cheers!
16. I bought a 4 string from bass direct when they were being trialled for interest at the London bass guitar show 3 years ago. It was an interesting beast. Single cut, mm and j pickup. Mm sounded really hot, Jazz was meh, preamp was good. Assymmetrical neck. Quality woods. Fairly lightweight. Played amazingly. Finish was a tad ropey. It was a good bass. Wasn't keen on the double cut 5 strings they had at the time. As I wanted an MM pickup and I didn't like the Jazz pickups.
17. I spoke to them today, they have been aware of our list for a while as I keep them updated. They have space for 40+ as they will be clearing the basses from the main floor to make more space.
18. Hey mate. What bass did this come out of? Any idea what model it was? What is the sound like?
19.
Does anyone know what strings the JB75 (jazz) comes fitted with?
Standard gauge Dadario nickels.
20. I have been updating Wunjos with numbers every few days and they are looking forward to it. This isn't ticketed, but I doubt you'll be barred at the door if I said you were coming.
