1.
Ah... it's not really the Kent bit then, it's the getting from west to south east London bit... do you drive? If you're in SW London then the South Circular would be favourite (A205 > A20 > M20), or possibly A3 > M25 > wherever, depending on when you're travelling, etc etc.
I am afraid not :/
2.
Depends where in Kent, really. Kent is a huge county. I was in a band that rehearsed in High Wycombe and I live in south London. I left in the end, but it wasn't because of the rehearsal commute. It also depends on what your transport situation is like.
I know! Both the guitarist and I are in West London, so it may be quite difficult.
3. He's moving to Kent and we are based in London. I realise there are quite a few connections going out, however travel is painfully slow in London. Things are still up in the air at the moment, so when things die down we will have a chat about whether changing practice locations would help.
4. Thing is, I had been trying my hardest form a band like this with these specific influences for nearly a decade and I could never get the right people. About ready to throw in the towel at the moment!
5. Hello all. Recently I formed a Hardcore Punk band in the vein of No Trigger, Strike Anywhere and a Wilhelm Scream. Managed to get 3 good core members including an absolutely amazing if slightly rusty drummer who totally get the material. We had still been looking for a vocalist, but things were moving and lots of auditions coming up this week. I have never felt so good about playing in a band as it's the music I have been wanting to do for nearly a decade. I haven't been this happy playing music in a long time. The drummer is amazing, we really click together and are very passionate about the same things. We managed to put together 2 originals and 4 covers within a few weeks no problem. Unfortunately the drummer received some bad news and has to move away and I am really bummed out by it. I have severe doubts that we can find another drummer to replace him anytime soon. As many people experience, without a drummer there is really no band. I'll of course keep looking, but I am more then upset about the situation! Never realised how much something like this could get me as down as this! No real point to this. But just had to say it.
6. Interesting. She gave me a different reason! I did have another guy who I put on hold but seems to be having cold feet :-/
7.
I think my girlfriend just bought me this. Good girl, that one.
Looks like she pulled out! I had removed the Ebay advert as well :/
8. Bump for the cheapest Fender on the Marketplace right now
9. Bump. Still here! Set it up just today and it plays amazingly well. Sounds very Marcus Miller for a passive bass.
10. New photos taken. Bump.
11.
Interesting colour. Any idea of the weight?
It's not heavy considering its a jazz bass. Best guess is about 9 lbs. Maybe slightly over? I have had far heavier jazz basses.
12. Bump! Bass has been taken apart and cleaned. New strings put on her and given a setup.
13. Bump. Nice price!
14. Thanks guys. Was about to go underground and had to type on the phone really fast. Title changed.

Hi guys. 2001 Fender made in Mexico jazz bass. Dark purple colour. Gotoh Tuners CTS Pots. Otherwise completely standard. Good player, Electronics are great and tuning is rock solid. Truss rod has plenty of adjustment left either way. Comes with new medium gauge Dadario hex core nickels + an extra set. No major paint chips. It is in a used condition with rust on the pick guard screws. Headstock has scratches, Control plate has scratches, some dints in the back the neck all very minor issues and all are in the photos. Selling because I want to go on holiday this year. No trades. Pickup from London only. You can come over to my place to try it out or I can meet you in central London. NO HAGGLING. Reduction to just £280. Very cheap for a Mexican Fender. Comes with a pretty ropey ritter gigbag.
16. •Have you tried Elixir strings before? Yes, for the past 3 years it's been the only string I have bought. •What other brands are you familiar with? DR, Fender, Ernie Ball, Dean Markley, La Bella, Rotosound and Circle K •What bass(es) will you try the new strings on? Musicman Stingray 4, 3 band. •What sort of environment will you be playing them in (e.g studio, gigging, practicing) All three, Studio, Gigging and Practising. •Why do you think you'll be a good candidate to test the strings? I have tried numerous brands of coated strings so I believe I pretty good handle on Elixirs competition. I play a vast array of styles and I am very sensitive to changes in tone from strings (Age and wear) •Links to any blogs/reviews you may have already posted (not essential but interesting) No sorry. But I am a respected (Fnar fnar) Basschat member. I am very interested in strings specifically catered for drop tunings! I am a Stainless steel user. Rob.
17. Never mind, I am going for it!
18. Hiya, what is the weight on this one?
19. Defeater and Code Orange (Code Orange are immense, I was lucky to see them in a small 80 person hall this year.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEFkTfGy7CQ&safe=active https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpVa-x7YndY&safe=active
20. 34" nice and tight when drop tuned.
21. If you don't mind smelling like a teenager, Deodorant is fantastic at cleaning off sticker goo and is readily available.

Hello all. I have a LTD Viper 254 in White. 4 String 34" scale. Neck Thru. Offset SG Style String thru bridge. Bound neck EMG-HZ Pickups EMG Preamp Grover tuners. The bass had some missing paintwork on the body edges which has been covered up, otherwise everything else on the bass works. The truss rod is working with travel either way. Frets are in good condition. Looks like it was stored more then played. Pretty heavy strings on it. The neck, string spacing and sound on soloed neck pickup really reminds me of a Gibson Grabber. So if you would like a cheap as chips named brand Neck thru bass which looks awesome, let me know! No gigbag or case. £120. Absolutely no haggling. Pickup from London only at the moment.
23. Pretty happy with what I got at the moment. Took me a number of years to find a Stingray that was light, played great and sounded great.
24. Lozz. If you remember playing my old Ash 77', that had a great bright tone (though it had an SPB-1 in it) and it was in the 8-9lb mark. I suggest selling the 78' and looking for a lighter vintage P. Don't muck around with your injury because of an unnecessarily light bass. You only have one body.
25. So I have been mucking around with the pedals. Idiot box first sounds pretty good! So sticking with that. Unfortunately my Bass Deluxe has developed a faulty switch so needs to go in for repair
