1. Just received mine. Though I am awful with Compressors so I don't know how good my opinion will be! Seems solid enough. Manual looks a bit useless. Wouldn't mind changing the chicken knobs to make it look a little different to other Joyo/Chinese pedals)
2. Was looking at this too, I have ordered one now
3. I think you should be getting a US Fender Jazz for the trade value of your Musicman.

6.
Thanks for all the answers Yeah I guess the easiest option is to respray a Squire VM Jag, but the respray actually makes it pretty expensive (who's the most cost-effective and/or best refinisher in the UK?). It'd be nice to find a previously loved VM Jag to donate its body. I'm sure there must be a more cost effective route than that. That Warmouth Jazzmaster body is great but it'll be probably near £400 by the time it gets to me once you've added shipping, duty, VAT and the various handling charges the couriers like to add just 'cause they can. I know I'm sounding like a cheapskate here, but dosh is tight at the moment :-) P
I think you're gonna have to respray it yourself at this rate. There never has been a Surf green production Jaguar bass body.
7. Not quite a Jaguar, but a Jazzmaster Surf green body right here. http://www.warmoth.com/Showcase/ShowcaseItem.aspx?Bass=1&Body=2&Type=100&Path=Misc&i=BP1977#.VUIbWHl0zA4
8. For that money, it's a pretty good price. Not amazingly earth shattering, but I doubt you'll find that sort of price in another shop.
9. Problem is the VT Bass is very integral to my sound. I'd rather not change the sound of it to accommodate the blower.
10. Heya gents. Just got back from Band practice a little disappointed. The bass blower just does not like to be used after my VT bass deluxe. When activated it fails to do anything but boost volume and EQ, but still sounds like the VT bass. The VT is very midrangy. So what are my options here? What's the simplest and cheapest way of separating the two signals? I haven't tried to the two pedals the other way around which might help. Though the bass blower does not recommend it. They are very different sounds I guess. I'd love to keep the Idiotbox.
11. Hey Gents. CamdenRob sorted me out with a great case that should do me! I am now looking for power supplies, Small ones that can power at least 7 pedals at 9Volt. Also picked up a Mooer Bass Sweeper, lovely little thing!
12.
Pickup swap, got an Arris pickup to put in it. Just bought it!
If you can cancel it, one has popped up on ebay. Seems in good nick. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Squire-Chris-Aiken-Precision-bass-/191563435514?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c9a120dfa
13. I have decided! Been looking on Ovnilab and things that are coming up on Ebay. The best Compressor looking at reviews for my needs is the Seymour Duncan Double Back. Has a great write up for a Mid Level Compressor. VCA based with some interesting features and the tone is completely neutral. The fact that they usually come up fairly cheap is a bonus. Just hope people don't bid up on it too much
14. Here it is so far!
15. Or how about a 2x12, vertical stacked top half built with adjustable angles specifically for your head height... Or without the adjustable bit. Just so it is angled up a bit more!
16.
Until you pick up something decent, I've one of these stagg jobbies cluttering up the spare room if you wanted it? Mrs C is threatening to throw it in the bin so it might as well get some use.
That is mighty kind of you. I may just well take up your offer if I have some spare time to go out to Camden
17. Heya gents. I have had a love hate relationship with pedals. The only major love being my Tech 21 VT Deluxe Bass, which I have had since release. I have dabbled in the past with others, but never ended up using them too much. I would like to start using them more in heavy styles of music. Stoner rock with some clean bits, playing 4 string in drop C. I have done a little bit of research and hopefully so far I have bought some fair gear. Yesterday I purchased a IdiotBox Blower, Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5 (Digital) and a Digitech Bass Whammy Reissue. This is to add to the VT Deluxe bass and Korg Pitchblack. I am looking to buy a compressor once I work out what to buy, Also looking at Delays/Reverbs and Flangers. I am trying to keep my purchases under £65 second hand per pedal. (May spend more on the compressor because of standard Stingray Quiet G problem). I am looking into powering it all in some sort of pedal board. With room to spare, the VT Deluxe is pretty giant, the Blowerbox is the newer smaller version and the Digitech Whammy is fairly big too. I believe all the pedals I have are running 9volt. What sort of considerations should I make when purchasing a pedal board and power supply? Do they come together or is better to buy separately? What if the connectors are different depending on the pedal? I am thinking a soft gigbag style would be my preference as I would like to sling it over my shoulder. Thinking something around the £50 mark for the case second hand is fine. I would have gone all battery if the Whammy wasn't mains only. I was also thinking of running a line selector with a blend control. All I know of is the Boss LS2, what else should I be looking at?
18. Hmm, I been looking at the Ovni site, still haven't found what I am looking for though. Maybe an M87... Might just go with Ovnis cheap recommendation of a DOD Milkbox and go from there.
