Never seen it, maybe just use brown tortoiseshell pickguard material and double sided tape? It would still be thicker than normal ( and may look weird) unless you got the single ply stuff...

There's a bit of a story to that. I bought it with 2 humbuckers installed (and a load of other player mods that were non- standard) as you can see below. I returned it to stock but as it had had a big hole routed out in front of the bridge for the pickup, it was filled with wood, and primed. I then did a light couple of coats of aged vintage white nitro which was a bit more yellow than the original white ( which was also nitro so must have been a respray too.)

Sometime the tracks are so damaged the only solution is to replace the pots, which is not difficult if you are careful and methodical. ( You'll need a soldering iron too)!

An ambitious price for a homebuild but I'm sure the tweed hardcase for an extra £70 is worth it ( he even overcharges for this)!

I've noticed this before that a number of Japanese sellers (even on ebay) are selling the exact same Bass for differing prices, nothing hooky but there must be a different selling arrangement where someone can retail a Bass owned by others.

Well they've just teased us on the weekly email with some screenshots of the new webpage, so it really is coming! Ye of little faith......
