  1. Thankyou both look the biz......apparently it sorts ground earthing problem which is quite common in some P and J Basses.....but I'm very happy with mine.....cheers.
  2. Done some research apparently the wire strip solves the bad ground earthing which can hinder some P and J Basses must admit it is very quiet with no hum or other noises and seems to work a treat......but thanks for the replies and happy playing......cheers Bob.
  3. It's a creamy off White colour.....was the earth strip between bridge and pick up never seen this but Karl reckons it's quite common.....not in the least bit worried just curious.
  4. Cheers Karl......looks like a 62 reissue serial number and crafted in Japan ect.....it's a kinda creamy off white with tort pic gaurd.....nice Bass, take the gaurd off and it's all nicely routed out no unsightly gouging out ect......looks pretty cool with or without gaurd....it's not in pristine nick bit battered but I like it and for £300 it's a steal and I kinda like it's battered appearance.
  5. Hi Fellow Basschatters, I have a Jap Fender Jazz Bass.....don't know exact year but was told mid/late 80's.....bought second hand bit scuffed and battered in places but none the less my pride and joy. Right the Question.....between the Bridge pick up and the Bridge there's a thin metal earth strip (I believe) is this common or do I have some unique Bass lol......personally I've never seen this before......doesn't hinder me or Bass in anyway....just curious.....thanks.
  6. He doesn't Drink and tends to make silly mistakes at rehearsals aswell.....I'm beginning to think it's Nerves? But we'll soldier on till the end of the year and see what happens.....Thanks for the interesting views and perspectives.

  8. The mistakes range from a bum chord to major howlers like playing the wrong part to a song ect, I counted at least 6 mistakes our last gig.
  9. Hello, We're individully all experienced musicians.....but our Guitarist can't seem to play a full gig without making several mistakes......be it bum chords or forgetting song arrangement ect, upto now we've turned a blind eye but after a year together it's beggining to get a bit much.....would you bring it up? He's fully aware he's made the errors and thinks nothing of it, saying he's sorry but eh never mind.....bare in mind he's a very good friend but has quite a volatile temper lol.....at times his playing his very good but we've never got thro' a gig without some sort of Howler.
