FS/FT: Ashdown ABM 300 EVO II C110 - Now £200 - *SOLD*

Ashdown ABM 300 EVO II 1x10 combo, made in England. In good working order and in good overall condition, with just a few scuffs on the corner protectors. I've owned this for just shy of 2 years and it was serviced by Flynn Amps in Glasgow prior to me purchasing it. It's had limited home use since then. I think it's a somewhat rare amp; there's very little information about this specific amp online but essentially it's the same as my old ABM 300 EVO II head but in a 1x10 combo configuration. Can be used with an extension cable to get the full power from it. Well suited to studio use, and small-to-medium gigs. Has all the usual Ashdown features; valve drive, sub octave, bass/middle/treble controls with optional EQ sliders. Weight is 25kg, dimensions are 51cm H x 47cm W x 34cm D. Collection from Glasgow or can post at cost.

Wouldn't the TV turn off after you've left the room if you're taking the key card out of the holder?

Have prices for strings gone up in general, or is it just certain strings? About 3-4 years ago I used get Dunlop Flatwounds from guitar guitar for £30, and when I went to buy a new set recently, most places were asking for about £80.

It's All About the Mods! (Show/Tell Your Modded Basses)
Jono Bolton replied to Baloney Balderdash's topic in Gear Gallery
Is that the same pickup used in the Triumph Bass? I'd never seen it in another Bass until now. -
David answered my wanted ad, looking for a P Bass neck. He was very patient while I made up my mind but had it packed and posted within 24 hours once I'd pulled the proverbial trigger. Very well packaged and just as described. Buy with confidence.

I've got Dunlop flats on my JV Precision, Fender flats on my bitsa Precision, and D'Addario rounds on my Telecaster Bass. Flats didn't work with the humbucker on the Tele Bass for me, but the flats on both P Basses were just whatever I had to hand when putting them together. The Dunlops have been on the JV for about three years but had been on a couple of other basses prior to that, and the Fenders were on a bass I bought second hand and swapped them over.

Gotoh SD91 machine heads in nickel. I bought these used a while back but never needed them. They look as new and come boxed with bushing removal tool, set of screws, and two sets of bushings; however one of the sets are wrong as the tuner posts don't fit the holes. They were in the box when I received them and are probably the ones the previous owner removed to fit one of the sets of Gotoh bushings. They're guitar tuners but they also work for a Bass VI; I had a set of my Squier when I still owned it. Price includes postage.

‘69 Fender Telecaster bass restoration

That's a very nice bit of kit -
I was wondering about that; I've been trying to buy a pickguard from him for a while. His old shop was about ten minutes from me.

Thank you! I knew it reminded me of something but I couldn't think what

Yet another new Fender Artist Series Signature...
Jono Bolton replied to basshead56's topic in Bass Guitars
I've never been fond of Fender's dumbing down of the Jaguar and Jazzmaster; getting rid of all the switching, circuitry, and chrome that made them interesting to begin with, leaving you with massive, unnecessary, ugly pickguards. The original Japanese Jaguar Bass is the only one I'd be interested in. -
Which length D'Addarios for through body stringing
Jono Bolton replied to Jono Bolton's topic in Accessories and Misc
I thought that was the case but wanted to double check before I ordered them. I didn't want to hand them over with my bass for a set up and then get a message from the tech to say that they were too short. -
I've got pickups from The Creamery in both my Ps; a Classic '58 in one, and a Classic '65 in the other.

The chip is glued back in place and doesn't look too bad; we'll see how it holds up. The neck is going back and I'll just have to try and exercise some patience (not my strong suit) to find the right one.

Price drop: £225 plus postage Fender Classic 50s Precision Bass neck, maple fingerboard. Made in Mexico, 2004, the precursor to the current Vintera line. Tinted lacquer finish, 7.25" radius, 44mm nut width. Looks a lot more tanned in the pictures than it is in real life. In very good condition overall, with only one notable ding on the back of the neck, a bit of clouding around the tuner hole of the top string (G) which can only be seen from certain angles, and a scrape on the treble side corner of the heel from an aluminium pickguard that was slightly too tight. I bought this on here a year ago but I'm switching the neck for one with a rosewood fretboard.

I had the same thing. I put a piece of blu tack on it.

Apologies in advance for the guitar content. I'm putting together a Telecaster and the heel of the neck is a very tight fit. Whilst trying to remove the neck from the pocket, I managed to pull off a pretty big chip at the edge of the pocket. The chip came off intact, and it's currently being stored in a safe place. Is glueing it back in place once the rest of the work is done a viable option, or am I looking at having to get some matching paint and building up the layers from the bottom?

Tonerider AC2N Neck Humbucker with nickel cover. I bought this a couple of months ago for £50 to put in my Telecaster (also for sale) but I switched back to the stock single coil. In great condition with some negligible play marks on the surface. Full length of wire left as I didn't cut any of them, all in great condition. I can also chuck in a couple of black pickup surrounds, one flat and one angled as I'll not need them. Can post if required, would probably be about £4, or can be collected in Glasgow.
