  1. Gotoh SD91 machine heads in nickel. I bought these used a while back but never needed them. They look as new and come boxed with bushing removal tool, set of screws, and two sets of bushings; however one of the sets are wrong as the tuner posts don't fit the holes. They were in the box when I received them and are probably the ones the previous owner removed to fit one of the sets of Gotoh bushings. They're guitar tuners but they also work for a Bass VI; I had a set of my Squier when I still owned it. Price includes postage.
  2. That's a very nice bit of kit
  3. I was wondering about that; I've been trying to buy a pickguard from him for a while. His old shop was about ten minutes from me.
  4. Didn't the Silver Series come about a decade after the JVs?
  5. Thank you! I knew it reminded me of something but I couldn't think what
  6. I've never been fond of Fender's dumbing down of the Jaguar and Jazzmaster; getting rid of all the switching, circuitry, and chrome that made them interesting to begin with, leaving you with massive, unnecessary, ugly pickguards. The original Japanese Jaguar Bass is the only one I'd be interested in.
  7. Thanks to the exceptional service of @kevin_lindsay I now have a set of reverse gear Resolites that I meant to buy when I purchased these, but I bought the "standard" anti-clockwise turn version by mistake. In excellent condition, comes with screws and bushings too. Price includes postage.
  8. I thought that was the case but wanted to double check before I ordered them. I didn't want to hand them over with my bass for a set up and then get a message from the tech to say that they were too short.
  9. I've got pickups from The Creamery in both my Ps; a Classic '58 in one, and a Classic '65 in the other.
  10. I'm ordering some strings for my Tele Bass which has through body stringing; can anyone tell me if the usual long scale sets are long enough to go through the bridge and give a couple of wraps on the post, or do I need the super long scale instead?
  11. The chip is glued back in place and doesn't look too bad; we'll see how it holds up. The neck is going back and I'll just have to try and exercise some patience (not my strong suit) to find the right one.
  12. It's a really great neck, and if I don't find a suitable swap for it then I'll be happy enough to keep hold of it, but I feel like a change and think a rosewood board and tort guard would look great on this.
  13. Price drop: £225 plus postage Fender Classic 50s Precision Bass neck, maple fingerboard. Made in Mexico, 2004, the precursor to the current Vintera line. Tinted lacquer finish, 7.25" radius, 44mm nut width. Looks a lot more tanned in the pictures than it is in real life. In very good condition overall, with only one notable ding on the back of the neck, a bit of clouding around the tuner hole of the top string (G) which can only be seen from certain angles, and a scrape on the treble side corner of the heel from an aluminium pickguard that was slightly too tight. I bought this on here a year ago but I'm switching the neck for one with a rosewood fretboard.
  14. I had the same thing. I put a piece of blu tack on it.
  15. Apologies in advance for the guitar content. I'm putting together a Telecaster and the heel of the neck is a very tight fit. Whilst trying to remove the neck from the pocket, I managed to pull off a pretty big chip at the edge of the pocket. The chip came off intact, and it's currently being stored in a safe place. Is glueing it back in place once the rest of the work is done a viable option, or am I looking at having to get some matching paint and building up the layers from the bottom?
  16. I won't lie, I'm tempted to take the neck off and keep it, it's a joy to play. Seems a shame to separate it out though.
  17. Fender Performance Series 18.6ft instrument cable in black, one straight and one angled jack. I bought this in 2017 for gigging but it hasn't been used in years and is taking up space in my spares box, which is at bursting point. Yours for the cost of postage (about a fiver).
  18. Tonerider AC2N Neck Humbucker with nickel cover. I bought this a couple of months ago for £50 to put in my Telecaster (also for sale) but I switched back to the stock single coil. In great condition with some negligible play marks on the surface. Full length of wire left as I didn't cut any of them, all in great condition. I can also chuck in a couple of black pickup surrounds, one flat and one angled as I'll not need them. Can post if required, would probably be about £4, or can be collected in Glasgow.
  19. Squier Classic Vibe 50s Telecaster in white blonde. One of the original run from 2008, made in China. I've only had this for about three months but I've got another project on the go and this needs to go to make space and raise funds. It's seen a bit of action and there are various superficial chips around the edge of the body, but it's a great player and the neck is brilliant and in very good nick. It sounds great too; as far as I know the pickups in the Chinese models were Toneriders. It's got full-sized Alpha pots which were standard in the early models, and I've recently replaced the stock switch with a decent quality one as the cheap original was fried. Comes with a Ritter gig bag. Recently restrung with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys. Pickup from Baillieston/Uddingston area of Glasgow. I can also post if required.
  20. The necks on these are great; I've got one on my sonic blue bitsa. I had a Roadworn neck on there before but the Classic 50s was much nicer imo. You'll struggle to get a better P Bass for the money than this.
  21. The Fender Mark Hoppus bass is a P neck on a Jazz body, but it's got a P pickup in it. Putting a Jazz neck on a Precision is quite a common mod; maybe buy a Jazz and find someone to swap necks with?
  22. I'm in two minds about this; I was going to use this for a build but it requires some work and I'm not entirely sure I can be bothered with doing what needs to be done. It's a Squier JV Precision neck with maple fingerboard that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. The chap I bought it from had owned it from new but didn't get on with the neck and replaced it with a slimmer one. At one point he had taken the frets out and filled the slots with some sort of wood filler, though he wasn't sure exactly what. It's not the nearest job and the fretboard is unfinished. The truss rod was loosened while it wasn't being used; as far as I can tell it all works as it should. The nut, string tree, and tuners are original and are all that was included with the neck when I bought it. It could possibly be used as-is, or it could be refretted, or you could do as I had planned and clean out the slots, put a veneer in there and refinish the fretboard and keep it as fretless. Price is £150 plus shipping, or you can pick it up if you're in the Glasgow area.

  23. I had the opportunity to try one of these a couple of weeks ago and it was very nice.
  24. God, that's nice
