From a prospective buyers PoV that is very off putting. IME organising a courier is easy, it's the packing bit that's difficult. A seller who isn't prepared to organise a courier in my mind probably won't have packed the item sufficiently. I send all sorts of stuff that I sell (and not just musical equipment) all over the world and have only had problems twice, once when a courier lost one part of a two parcel shipment somewhere between here and Japan, and another time when it was obvious that the parcel had been dropped in a very deep puddle. On both occasions the insurance claim was dealt with promptly and paid in full without quibble.
I don't want the stress or liability of being responsible for the courier, buyers are welcome to collect, or send a courier to do so on their behalf. I should probably add that I supervise the shipping department of a manufacturing company who export the majority of their products, so I have access to professional grade shipping material and expertise.

I'll post pedals, but anything bigger I'm willing to pack it for the buyer's courier to collect, but wont ship it myself. This is from dealing with couriers in a professional capacity, I don't want ultimate responsibility for the way a third party might (miss)treat a shipment.

Pictures added Great sounding pedal this, only selling as my new head has a drive section built in. This overdrive has really useful feature in that it works in conjunction with a parametric filter, so that you can choose the centre frequency and frequency bandwidth that the overdrive is applied to. In practice, this means that you can overdrive the midrange frequencies, whilst leaving the bass and treble clean; or, just go for a big thick/sharp (delete as taste dictates) drive across the whole band. I bought it used and the VU meter has never worked - not really an issue, that's been a more cosmetic than practical feature, your ears will be a much better judge of how to set it. Also, it seems to have a fault where it needs a battery inside to work properly - whether your using an external power supply or not, but it does works fine if there's a battery in there (battery included). These issues, whilst not a problem with operating the pedal are reflected in the price, which includes UK mainland shipping. Funny thing is with Cliff and Metallica, I remember reading somewhere that Cliff wanted to take the band in a more melodic direction post Master, so we'd have probably got The Black Album sooner, and not had Justice at all. I also read somewhere that they were planning on replacing Lars, but after Cliff's death decided it was too much upheaval in the band. So what's better - Cliff in the band and a new drummer but no Justice, or history as it played out? Apologies for the lack of citations in this post.

It was quite awkward trying to get the right angle with my phone, tried to smile, as you can tell it doesn't come naturally to me.

Couple of Wal videos http://youtu.be/_GDwdrNjWzs http://youtu.be/u88vhtRZO90 Paul was kind enough to let me play the Mk3 after this video, it was the best bass I've ever played; I plan to start saving for one, with the goal of owning one by my 40th (8 and a half years away) -

We were at Butlins last week and they had a cracking Nile Rogers tribute show called The Hitmaker, the bassist was pretty handy, I'd certainly recommend seeing it if you go on a holiday there.
