  1. There is an awful lot of misogyny in their lyrics, that was part of what made the album so awful
  2. I listened to a full Brokencyde record for a podcast I was listening to and it's the worst thing I've ever heard, and I include Lulu by Metallica & Lou Reed in that
  3. This is what I've gone for
  4. Today's the first Bandcamp Friday of the year, where the platform waives their fees for sales so the artist/label get 100% of the revenue. What will you be buying if you follow these? I'm not 100% yet (Bandcamp are based in the Pacific northwest, so it doesn't start until 8am our time), but I'm thinking the new Two Minutes To Late Night covers EP, Heathen by Thou, Terrifyer by Pig Destroyer and maybe one or two other things
  5. Was it Ain't No Doubt by Jimmy Nail that Guy Pratt wrote from a bass lick?
  6. Every Time I Die - From Parts Unkown Not a band I've ever really listened to, but checking them out as Cave In and they have just done a "split 7 inch" live stream where they cover each other, but I'm quite enjoying it.

I had a Be4 with EMGs and an Aguilar OBP3, it was extremely good with exemplary build quality
  8. I believe Divinty Roxx does and I'm thinking about contacting Dillinger Escape Plan Liam Wilson for a couple of lessons later in the year. The time-zone might need some negotiating, but worth a go I think
  9. I had no idea these guys were all so close to me, my parents live a couple of miles from Lingfield, I drive through Horam every day and Heathfield isn't far from work.
  10. Just bought this album of Nirvana covers by sludge band Thou, it works really well https://thou.bandcamp.com/album/blessings-of-the-highest-order

I the cab you pair it with is key, I don't think I've ever pushed mY HD350 any further than half into my EBS Neo 2x12. I remember though running a mk1 Fafner I used to have (which was 600 watt I think) into an 8 ohm Ashdown 4x10 and it being incredibly quiet for the on paper numbers.
  12. The Grudge by Tool Just to make it harder, I'm trying to do it in standard tuning rather than drop D
  13. Also, I love this idea of Jolene the eldritch horror
  14. I particularly like these versions A. A. Williams Lingua Ignota
  15. I have one as my main bass, I really like it - very comfortable neck and it has the best sounding bridge pickup I've personally found on a jazz bass - YMMV of course. About a year ago, I tried out some other higer end five strings in London - Sadowsky Metro Express, Sandberg California TM, Stingray Special, Dingwall NG3; but I liked my Lakland more than all of them.
  16. For me, this is their best record since Chaos AD
  17. My top 20 releases of 2020 20. Slow Crush and Lost Century Kid - Aurora Redux EP 19. Answering Machine - Bad Luck 18. Fall Of Messiah - Senicarne 17. Napalm Death - Throes Of Joy In The Jaws Of Defeatism 16. Mrs. P*ss - Self-surgery 15. Bell Witch and Aerial Ruin - Stygian Bough Vol. 1 14. Body Count - Carnivore 13. Nothing - The Great Dismal 12. Azusa - Loop Of Yesterday 11. Intronaut - Fluid Existential Inversions 10. Touché Amoré - Lament 9. Make Them Die Slowly - The Bodycount Continues 8. Spirit Adrift - Enlightened In Eternity 7. Deftones - Ohms 6. Sepultura - Quadra 5. Emma Ruth Rundle and Thou - May Our Chambers Be Full 4. Run The Jewels - RTJ4 3. Old Man Gloom - Seminar VIII Lightness Of Meaning/Seminar IX Darkness Of Being 2. Greg Puciato - Child Soldier: Creator Of God 1. Anaal Nathrakh - Endarkment
  18. Anthrax live in 2003, I much prefer them with John Bush singing
  19. You might enjoy this blog Al https://davidallengreen.com/
  20. The commercial invoice will state the incoterms the goods have been shipped under, if it's something like DDP, where the duty is paid upfront then I believe the courier will pay the duty and back-charge you the shipper. If it's something like CPT terms, then the responsibility for taxes and duties lie with the importer.
  21. Spirit Adrift - Enlightened In Eternity These guys are going to be big - if you want upbeat, classic sounding metal, that is also up-to-date with some of the best solos in the genre, look no further. They channel Metallica, Iron Maiden et al without sounding like a rip-off and really are a lot of fun
  22. DHL have also brought in a €0.25/Kg/€5 minimum Brexit surcharge for imports into the UK, so there's that as well
