  1. An acoustic bass guitar, or a 6-string acoustic guitar?
  2. Sorry I can't be there, Remembrance Sunday so I have a prior engagement. Hope you all have a great day.
  3. Since you bought this from G4M, have you tried taking it up with them? After all they are the ones who have a contract with DX, not you.
  4. Damn @Beedster you would have been the perfect person! Here's a clip from a recent acoustic showcase set we did at Coda in Colchester, recorded on someone's phone so the sound isn't great.
  5. Yes, we're still looking. I'm on holiday for the next couple of weeks so I won't be on basschat much but you can reach me through email to [email protected] And we're playing at Folk East on Sunday 20th, in the main bar during the afternoon. If anyone is there please come up and say hello.
  6. 10 years ago I gave away my 100-year-old boudoir grand. It went to a guy who runs a local recording studio.
  7. @ChrisSP I think you have a story to tell that a lot of us would love to hear.
  8. I bought a PSU from Dean - great transaction. I'm happy to recommend him.
  9. As far as I'm concerned, this qualifies under 'wonderful'. Price might be a tad optimistic though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334960680527?hash=item4dfd365e4f:g:9wcAAOSwf8ZketvW
  10. It's just occurred to me that I used to use a volume pedal with my bouzouki. The pedal I used has a control which allows you to set a minimum volume. I'd set it to max for single string stuff and then back it off for multiple string strumming. I've still got the pedal if you want to give it a go.
  11. Anyone come across Fionn O'Hanlon before? I hadn't until this popped up in my Youtube suggestions box. Every now and again, someone comes along and just raises the bar to an entirely new level.
  12. Ideal for Norwich City fans. So I guess they're not going to sell very many.
  13. I hate these things with a passion, and would advise against using them unless as a last resort. The chances that they will break are very high, and then you have a serious problem on your hands because you have a hardened carbon steel extractor in the centre of the bolt, which no drill can touch. When it happened to me I was lucky enough to find a local engineering works with a spark erosion machine (think this was a VW bus cylinder head exhaust stud, but it was a long time ago). Once the neck is off, if there is enough of the broken screw sticking out a Stud Extractor might do the job - something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Remover-Extractor-Puller-Mechanic-Vehicle/dp/B07B3S1CJN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?adgrpid=60146397584&hvadid=259084582987&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9180720&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=16234816946913686502&hvtargid=kwd-298754072628&hydadcr=28149_1724799&keywords=stud+extractor&qid=1689932951&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
  14. My subscription to Woodbridge Excelsior is £10/month. It's quite normal in brass band / orchestral circles.
  15. Hi Andy, Yes we are . Thanks for getting in touch, I'll send you a personal message (PM). Kind regards Pete
  16. Yup. Can't read the set list if it's on the floor, even with 32-point bold.
  17. You're welcome. I don't know why the BBC don't provide someting like it.
  18. He's not listed in https://www.glastofestfeed.com/news/live-coverage/watch-glastonbury-setlist-bbc-iplayer/ so I guess they weren't filming that stage, or he didn't want to be recorded.
  19. Bonnie Raitt for the Sunday afternoon Legends slot.
  20. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Gabriels were excellent once again I thought.
  21. Bonnie Raitt at the London Palladium. An awesome voice and talent, undiminished by the passage of time. And what a great band.
  22. We had a lot of success doing this with a TC Electronic G-System a few years ago now. If you're going to do it, it's got to be all or nothing IMHO - loud valve amps on the stage were the cause of many sound problems so using them a monitors is counterproductive. Likewise any kind of FRFR cab with a volume control that can be turned up mid-gig.
