  1. One of the decent small heads and a Barefaced Super Compact would be a great choice.Due to back problems and other health issues I had to go the lightweight route. I used Galien Kruger and Genz amps with a SC in some very loud situations.👍
  2. If there’s no takers by the weekend, I’ll part it out.
  3. Another piece of kit that I'm not using anymore. As new condition, boxed and complete with instructions. You can read the full spec here https://www.zoom.co.jp/node/61 Can be collected or I'll post using Royal Mail 48 Tracked and signed for. Postage charge will be £ 5.35
  4. I can't actually remember but yes, think it is.
  5. I'm not playing much these days, so time to start selling some kit. This is an instrument that I put together a few years back from quality parts. I know full well that as a bitsa, I would be able to part it out and get a better return, it plays so well though, that I find myself reluctant to go with that option. So, at least for now, it's for sale as is. The neck is a Manson build and not easy to source. A lovely unlined fretboard and fitted with a brass nut. Fender Japan body, lightly aged. High quality Babicz bridge. Aged tuners, good quality but I can't recall the make. Seymour Duncan SB3 pickups. Aged control knobs. The condition is very good, all hardware and electronics function as they should. Weight is 9lb. No case with this, so I collection is preferable. We can discuss postage options if necessary. Maybe £495 was a bit ambitious, so reduced to £450
  6. I went with Barefaced, after even Markbass cabs became too heavy following some surgery. My rig was a Super Compact and Little Baby. That combo was gigged in pubs, clubs and open air festivals and to me, always sounded great.
  7. Hopefully with the pickups out, you'll be able to get it done
  8. I do plenty of re-wires on hollow bodied guitars and basses. Aquarium airline tubing is what I use.
  9. I would try to introduce a little back bow in the neck by the use of a straight edge and clamps (there are videos on Youtube). You might find that you can then loosen the screw more easily. If that doesn't work, then applying heat via a soldering iron held against the screw, often does the trick.
  10. I'm assuming you're talking about a jack with three lugs? If that's the case then you need to swap the two black wires around.
  11. I'm hoping that none of my customers ask for this. Think I'll send them your way Andy.😂
  12. Just checking out the David Essex tune, never seen mention of him on the NS scene. More unexpected tunes than on a lot of the compilations.
  13. Having worked on a Sire bass for a customer and trying to source parts for it, I wouldn't personally ever buy one.
  14. That’s a very cool looking, handsome bass.
  15. If you’re happy with the amount of relief in the neck now, take a measurement and then check it over a few days. If it doesn’t move, then happy days , stop worrying and enjoy 👍
  16. I wouldn't worry, the washer has done the trick but as a consequence the nut doesn't wind in as far. Exactly what I would expect.
  17. I can't comment on the Bongo but I bought a U.S. P Deluxe back in 96 and just love it. Such a very versatile instrument.
  18. SMB turned up on time, no fuss, no drama. True gent to deal with.
  19. Yes, still available. I'm about on Thursday. Just message me up with a time, if you want to check it out.

    In Memoriam

So saddened by this news. He was a total gent.
  21. Friend of mine in Hertford does a good job. Can put you in touch, just let me know.
  22. I wouldn’t refret a Ric for £200. For that job £400 is much more realistic.
  23. Just the amp, no other kit..
  24. Pretty easy. Overground train from Liverpool Street to Broxbourne or Rye House. Let me know if you want to and we can make the arrangements.
