2. http://wheatsbassbook.org/ http://www.harmony-central.com/Bass/Lessons/ I can't find a HC page I used to use. I remember it mentioning boxes, and just general info on composition and getting by on a little more that r5.
3. I sound retarded next to the AClaber types, but from reviews I've read in the past, within Hartke, I think it's definitely worth forking out a wee bit more for something with XL or .5 after it.
4. Encouragement is a good idea. Those joining up may not see the intro thread, or may be uncertain of its purpose. Especially those who aren't wise to forums. Plus, thinking about selling may distract from a normal standard of etiquette.
5. I like it! Are you going to leave the headstock black?

Hi

Welcome to the forum. I'll give the sounds a listen next time I've got me headphones.
7. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16607 and it's on the same page.
8. I agree with the sparse voice for reason. The choice to introduce will tell me more than an introduction ever could.
9. Hi Woodruff. I think an Indie bassist could get by going straight into a band. Just learn the fretboard and stay with the rhythm player. I'll find a good BC theory link. I remember harmony central having some brilliant lessons. Welcome to the forum.
10. I always like the Toby Pro tone, were the original pickups really so lacking? Or is it a 6 string requirement? Austrian fridge magnets.
i thought i was like the only one in the world that had an eastcoast bass, everywhere i go and every bass i see it`s not a eastcoast one.lol the bass is ok it`s just when i go from like the 1st fret to the 3rd fret i make that funny noise it`s hard to descirbe sounds a bit like a clanging noise, it`s annoying.Would this be due to tuning or can anybody get it.
It's called 2nd fret. Watch out for that.
12. Nice to see a bass that's lived a bit. The Badass1 is a cool looking bridge.

hey!

Hi Ray. Welcome to Basschat.
14.
An Eastwood Classic will set you back about £350. It's a bit more Gretsch inspired though...
I've heard some terrible reviews of these. And I'm pretty sure the videos on youtube are going through a lot of Radial gear.
15. Hi El Gnomo. Welcome to the forum.
Thanks ! I only mentioned the good stuff !!!!!
That's cheating!
16. Looks good, good find. What's it like working in a music shop?
17. Oooh, lucky you. Pic us.
18.
Hi... i'm the guy who did the Phaedrus Instruments, and the address is changed permanently www.skylabdigital.com. There's all sorts of new stuff on there, with Youtube links, etc. Sorry, none of these are for sale (they are all one-of-a-kind prototypes), but feel free to try to make on of your own. Cheers! -Thayer
'though I like the basses, the The Impossibilitron is definitely my favourite of your creations .
19.
I would but....... ..... the wall's kinda full at the moment!
Goodness, hadn't seen that pic before.

22.
This looks yummy!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAPAN-EDWARDS-Jazz-b...1QQcmdZViewItem
I think it sounds pretty awful. Not surprised it didn't sell.
23. Am I the only one who hasn't been to a member of Embrace's house? --- The band sounds great, Jake. I like the arrangement, but +1 on the vox. The singer doesn't sound at ease with it, maybe too much rehearsal? It all lifts at around 2:43, though, with the early '90s guitar sound. It sounds great, but I do think it's worth another pop. What do you think of it? edit: nice tone, btw. And very tasteful lines.
24. '2 years' I've recently retired my boots. I think they're older than me. And I could always have them re-soled. Converse at a wedding sounds awesome. I hope it's been ok'd, though. Women can get funny about this sort of thing, I understand.
