1. Are you the lucky buyer? http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f182/fs-yama...ike-new-768385/

3. A great technique to have. I'm doing the reverse and moving away from (sometimes unnecessary) slapping. It is needed for some tunes in my sets, but i'm feeling like it's 'expected' and overdone (sometimes). It is interesting when you hear folk talk, that a player who can slap is often percieved a 'better' (read Flashy) bass player than one who doesn't - which as we all know, is not the case. I've had many hours of fun slapping - but am trying to avoid it where possible. This is all IMHO of course. Peace Graeme
4. Nice - i like both colours - Have they made them specially heavy too?
5. I guess the proof is in the playing....
6. Tough one. I think try and honour the gigs - i reckon a band meeting is in order. Pick easy tunes to cover the gigs - get everyones contribution etc Good luck, hope you sort it. Graeme
7. I had an NE-1, hand on heart i don't think i ever used it to it's full potential, but it did help my Jaydee with some bottom end clarity. Last few i saw sold for £35 ish If i see one, i'll shout! :-) Graeme
8. Run awaaaaaaaay
9. How about a Yamaha BBT110S?
10. That sucks - hopefully the perp will be caught and dealt with.
11. Great review - one of these is definately on my list when funds allow. Cheers Graeme
12.
I've seen two go for £200 to £250 in the last 18 months on here, and one for £230 locally a few months ago
..and i've seen the condition they were in too.. :-) One had holes drilled all over it and was extremely reliced, another needed some serious cleansing and had parts missing. Very happy with mine - it's a cracker. If you see any more going that cheap, please tell me, i'll buy another any day for that money. Cheers Graeme ps...you a Mr Big fan? You off to see them on tour?
13. now THAT'S nice - congrats.
14. now that i like.
15. Nice colour scheme, not my cup of tea bass wise, but i really like the colours Congrats Graeme
16.
Another best bassist poll that is based more on the popularity of their bands than anything else.
+1
17. I like it, predictable, but i like it. Be interesting to hear the album, and see if the change in drummers affects the dynamic of the band (and agree about the awful MP BV's Danimal!) Cheers Graeme
