  1. Great job! πŸ‘ looks much happier now 😊
  2. It possibly had an active pre fitted in the past with battery box access at the rear?
  3. Nice bit of flame to that roasted maple too. Crazy price for such a sweet bass!
  4. You can lower the overall pickup height with Model Ps, much lower than you would have a normal P pup. Really sweetens them up without losing much booty πŸ˜‰
  5. The pickup alignment issue was the only thing that put me off buying one. Seems they're all like that. The first run Profiles had closed covers so it wasn't noticeable. Did you find that the generic P bass pickguard fitted perfectly or was there some fettling needed?
  6. Great channel! I really enjoyed a couple of vids I saw a good while ago but couldn't remember his name when I tried to see more recently 🀦 Thanks for reconnecting me! πŸ˜„
  7. Worth the wait though! What a fabulous job. Congrats!
  8. I'm looking forward to the one with Patti Smith in particular.
  9. Just a heads up for those, like me, that enjoy Flea waxing lyrical about all things music and creativity. Begins in March.. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2023/02/25/flea-announces-new-podcast-this-little-light/
  10. That means it's one older. πŸ˜†
  11. ...comes complete with genuine 70s vintage bogeys.
  12. Magic Johnson - RHCP
  13. I've never tried Elixirs... what is the tension of them like? Can you compare them to any other strings tension-wise?
  14. Is the mudflap girl a Spinal Tap reference by any chance?
  15. Glad you didn't go for "Betsy" πŸ˜„ Good idea for a thread... named basses with pics.
  16. I'd leave the pickguard as is with black, but whatever works for you is best. I'm a sucker for black Ps πŸ‘
  17. Kind of counter intuitive, but I sometimes shift the pitch up high on ASD as it makes some difficult to distinguish basslines pop out really well. It all goes very Pinky and Perky but a useful hack occasionally!
  18. I use Amazing Slow Downer - I just find the tune I want on YouTube then copy the url of it and Google for a YouTube to mp3 converter. Easy fix to the problem.
  19. Talkbass - I wonder if the reason people over there generally get offended so easily and yet are happily confident enough to attack others disproportionately is because everyone has guns in real life? (or so we're led to believe) πŸ€” It's a different mindset on there for sure.
  20. Thanks. I think... I don't need one but I keep going back to look! πŸ˜„ The necks do look fabulous. A pleasant handful no doubt.
  21. Anyone here own or played a NS Pulse 2? They look like they're a lot of bass for the money...
  22. Except the metal bits. Everything is just a load of atoms.
  23. @devinebass I'd like to see you chat with Paz Lenchantin, now with PIXIES. She's played with many different people, plays piano, violin, has written string arrangements for a few too. Classically trained yet can rock out with the best of them. She's creativity personified, and a lovely person too.
  24. I also, interestingly like a few others here, grew up in a house where music wasn't played. I heard The Police on the top 40 which I would listen to in my bedroom and fell in love with them. Still listen to them now!
