  1. Just a thought... I wonder if simply selling what would be the CD cover (nicely done) on card with a download code on it might work better these days. It would cut your costs and enable you to sell them cheaper therefore probably selling more. Plus anyone who buys one will always have your music on them (phone) to play for their friends if they really like you, spreading the word. I don't even own a CD player anymore and don't know anyone else who does either...
  2. Easy fix so no worries. Loving that orange with the chrome! Are they T-bird pickups?
  3. It does have the make an offer option though. I'm sure he'll have a price in his head that he would really let it go for, listing it sky high will certainly keep the low ballers from wasting his time. There might be someone out there who gets it for 10Gs thinking they've won and done a good deal 🀷
  4. He who dares wins Rodney. Don't suppose they sell watches at this auction house do they? Could do with finding another one...
  5. Iron, Dandelion, Zion - Bob Marley and The Weedkillers
  6. The Shining - Wendy Carlos
  7. Brass Monkey - Beastie Boys
  8. Well, unfortunately I'm experiencing the downside of owning a vintage Fender... it's a lot of money tied up in a luxury plaything, so when real life intervenes (need building work doing on the family home), it's hard to otherwise justify struggling unnecessarily. I've had a year with my dream bass at least - the '65 P bass Packing it up to send to Andy Baxter to deal with so I can avoid the ballache of trying to sell such a thing from home. It's a sad day...
  9. Epiphone Vintage Pro T-Bird
  10. Great job! πŸ‘ looks much happier now 😊
  11. It possibly had an active pre fitted in the past with battery box access at the rear?
  12. Nice bit of flame to that roasted maple too. Crazy price for such a sweet bass!
  13. You can lower the overall pickup height with Model Ps, much lower than you would have a normal P pup. Really sweetens them up without losing much booty πŸ˜‰
  14. The pickup alignment issue was the only thing that put me off buying one. Seems they're all like that. The first run Profiles had closed covers so it wasn't noticeable. Did you find that the generic P bass pickguard fitted perfectly or was there some fettling needed?
  15. Great channel! I really enjoyed a couple of vids I saw a good while ago but couldn't remember his name when I tried to see more recently 🀦 Thanks for reconnecting me! πŸ˜„
  16. Worth the wait though! What a fabulous job. Congrats!
  17. I'm looking forward to the one with Patti Smith in particular.
  18. Just a heads up for those, like me, that enjoy Flea waxing lyrical about all things music and creativity. Begins in March.. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2023/02/25/flea-announces-new-podcast-this-little-light/
  19. That means it's one older. πŸ˜†
  20. ...comes complete with genuine 70s vintage bogeys.
  21. Magic Johnson - RHCP
  22. I've never tried Elixirs... what is the tension of them like? Can you compare them to any other strings tension-wise?
  23. Is the mudflap girl a Spinal Tap reference by any chance?
  24. Glad you didn't go for "Betsy" πŸ˜„ Good idea for a thread... named basses with pics.
