  1. Go Geddy Pee! That would look frickin' awesome!
  2. I Prog. I Prog with enthusiasm as much as to to match our intrepid explorer here, Geddy Lee, as he rockets of full of delight, headlong into mystery. Well, up until that moment where he realises the error of his ways that is... "Spageddy Lee" If you get this then you too, Prog. Up until that point where the Prog community started wearing suits in the 80s also.
  3. A '65 P bass. I've posted pics a couple of times before and you commented that you liked the roadworn look I believe. I'll spare spamming everyone again because I don't want to be 'that guy'.
  4. They're young and happy because they haven't used Rotos long enough to have to stump up the cash for a refret.
  5. Yes, I am.
  6. The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - Dolly Parton
  7. It might be that it just needed a little shim in the neck pocket of the body to bring the action down to where you wanted it. Just a thought... Glwts anyway!
  8. Head In The Sand - Hoodoo Gurus
  9. It depends on what kind of tone you want. If you're liking it how it already is then leave it. Perhaps it's the pre recording session anticipation/anxiety that's making you overthink things? We've all been there I'm sure.
  10. Sounds interesting. Will check that out ta 👍

  18. Backdoor Man - Willie Dixon
  19. If it was me building this, I would put the bass together first, set it up and then get a feel for where your sweetspot is acoustically when you're playing it. Stick the pickup there 👍
  20. No they have a thinner neck, almost uniform from nut to fingerboard end. The thru-neck (not bolt on) probably helps though.
  21. Friday Night, Saturday Morning - The Specials RIP Terry x
  22. Yep! I'm loving all this. I feel like I'm discovering secrets to music from another world. Which I am really. Keep them coming!
  23. Thanks for this! What a great way to make sense of the whole piece. I should be able to sightread those 8th notes once I get the rust off. What a great way to try! Brill 🙂
  24. Thanks a lot. Yes Scott Thunes is a big fan of Bartók so I've dipped my toe in a bit. The little I've heard sounds like horror movie music...I've read that they used one of his pieces in The Shining. Later I learned that Bartók is from Transylvania. Makes sense... I like it. Nice change from 12 bar down the pub!
  25. Guns of Navarone - The Skatalites
