1. Nice for the late night drive after a gig kinda tune. I like it. From a bass geek point of view, the bassline is nothing new of course but it serves the song perfectly and Flea's tone, for me, is much sweeter than on the last couple of efforts. I'll buy the new album. I'm with them.
2. Just adding that when I've been on the hunt for a Fender type of bass and I ask if the neck is straight, I do want to know if the neck is without any twists or indeed the classic 's' hump that can manifest itself around the body end of the neck. Had an old P that developed said condition once. Disappointing!
3. What kind of bass is it, is it a hollow body?
4. An amazing early 2 band Stingray. Unfortunately in a moment of madness, when I wasn't really paying attention, I did sell it. Bellend.
5.
Thanks Miles'tone 🙂
Welcomes 👍
6.
I love all his funky stuff, of course, but this one has always, right from the very first hearing, brought tears ro my eyes. http://youtu.be/zlZONgpmw58 Can't seem to make the video appear in the post. Can someone with a brain fix it please? Ta.
7. Sexy MF. Great cheeky idea for a single, with a groove that still worked even when heavily cut up and edited for radio.
8.
He didn't write "Eternal Flame", he wrote "Manic Monday".
And 'Nothing Compares 2 U' for Sinead O'connor, which was at number one for what seemed like 4 years at the time!
9. I bought a nice jazz album featuring Scott LaFaro off Mike. Really easy deal and it arrived in no time. Brill. Nice one Mike, many thanks! 👍
10.
I'm devastated. One of the few that could take something from inside his head, share it and put millions in a great state of mind. Huge loss. Rest In Power Prince Blue
Well said Blue. The truth.
11.
I prefer Hi Beams to to the Fat Beams I think.
In what way do you prefer the Hi Beams? I've never tried them but I do love the Fatbeams. Just curious what the difference is.

Colin bought some parts of me in a very easy deal. Nice friendly chat on the PMs, and he was very patient waiting a few days until I could finalise the courier too. Brill. Deal with confidence people. Thank you Colin!
13. Totally agree. I put a set of Fatbeams on a 5 string Squier P bass and they blew me away. Even acoustically, they made me smile. The most responsive string I've used, and easy to play. Amazing B string too.
14. Scott Thunes on various Zappa albums (Make A Jazz Noise Here, The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life..) Just killer P bass tone, exquisite note choices and phrases but always supportive of those around him. A brilliant musician who just happened to play bass. He could really pump a driving groove too: http://youtu.be/ly79mkffp7M
15. Sold some Ultralites to Adolf in Romania in what was a very friendly, easy deal. Lovely chap to chat to on the PMs, wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again, either buying or selling. Thanks Adolf!
