I'm in the process of doing an acoustic to electric conversion on a well used Stagg fusion drum kit at the minute for my home-based silent rehearsal project. So far I'm just over 200 quid (used TD6V module off the bay, DIY drum triggers, second hand Stagg kit and Alesis cymbals off gumtree), but it takes some DIY and experimentation, and I'll probably break the 300 quid mark by the time I'm finished (need pretty much all hardware replaced since the stagg stuff is AWFUL). Just putting it out there as a possible option. My thinking was it would feel more like a real drum kit. The drummer in my previous band bought a TD3 and gigged it for a while (which was great - nice quiet stage!) but lost interest in it as the feel wasn't right.

Yup, can confirm the Antique sounds awesome. Used it into my B3 last night with the B3 set up to replicate the EQ on the M900 I just sold. Bit of high pass filtering from the Fishman preamp model and we're set for the IEM experiment!

Definitely impressed with the quality of the schalltechnik kits. Instructions wouldn't be top notch though, and are open to interpretation in places. The Guma Antique printed enclosure is beautiful!

Eventually finished my Guma Antique this morning (a naughty half hour in the lab at work). Original intention was to build this and a Guma Drive into the same box, but with time seemingly always against me I folded and ordered the individual printed enclosures from Julian (kit supplier) instead... along with his Pumpernickel compressor kit... and printed enclosure. No way I was attempting that drilling job!

Yup. Had hearing loss for about 20 years (self inflicted) but my tinnitus only kicked in after a nasty sinus infection 18 months ago. Only advice the NHS have given me is "don't listen to it". Handy... On my bad days it does get me a bit down, especially recently when an inner ear infection rendered me effectively deaf in my left ear. Thankfully it doesn't stop me sleeping - my 2 kids do that instead! I've been using earplugs for a few years now and am in the process of getting an in-ear monitor setup up and running. A bit like closing the gate after the horse has bolted, but I'm determined to keep what hearing I still have and will always have a set of earplugs on my keyring.

TB users report there were last minute production issues.

From the other site it would seem it'll be July before it's available... BUT... Apparently it's based on the EBS Micro Bass II (with added compressor). That might peak some interest!

I've been pretty critical of Darkglass pedals in the past (and have had folks claim that if I didn't like them I wasn't using them right... Ahem...). But alas my ears are shagged. That's made me re-evaluate a few things. So in-ears it is. I may have a Darkglass Vintage Ultra in my immediate future, although it not having the tone control in the drive section might be an issue for me given my previous experience. I'm hoping Doug revises the Ultra series with the tone control added. I can live without all the switches. That control is the master stroke on the M900. Such an awesome amp... For similar reasons I'll probably be parting with my recently reacquired Two10 as well at some point. I'll keep the Ashdowns for the punters and bandmates who can't tell the difference...

Mine is a '77 P bass - a Yamaha Pulser 400. And brilliant it is too!

Haven't done it myself, but asked Alex at Barefaced the same question a few years back and he thought it would work really well. In the end I decided I wouldn't be looking for much other than the "emulated" tone, so went with something closer to that with a Two10 and Orange Terror!

Darkglass don't do digital.

Do you know what topology Jule uses for the midrange control? Similarly I'm clueless about his sensitivity control. I'd assumed it was just a simple gain, but reading between the lines there seems to be something else going on there. What topology did you use for your midrange control?
