I've most of the parts for a similar build just waiting for me to free up enough time to start building. I digested quite a bit over on the other forum, particularly from username JGR, who builds under the name Reiner Amplification. His bass preamp has an inductor midrange, based on the Ampeg V9 topology, probably similar to the V4 going by your description. His earliest designs had lower and upper midrange controls using wah inductors! In the end up I decided to start with the B15n pre, simple as it may be, but add a sweep control to the tonestack, a la Arkham Zephyr http://arkhamsound.com/zephyr.html I can always revisit later and add an inductor midrange. I have a multi-tap carnhill inductor at the ready!

Thomann site was saying they had stock today. Maybe time to cancel Kev... Edit: sorry, just checked again. 11th May now...

Price updated: £750 With my current hearing woes (nothing too serious, just enough to make me think!) I'm reconsidering the direction of recent equipment purchases and going in-ear. I may change my mind on this as the amp could serve perfectly well and offer more flexibility, but here goes. I have a virtually new, only out of the box twice, Darkglass M900. Everything you've heard is true. These are stunning amps. Not really interested in an outright cash sale, but would consider trades plus cash my way for one, or combination of, the following: Darkglass Vintage Ultra DSM OmniCabSim deluxe Behringer XR16, XR18 or similar (Mackie DL1608, etc.) Line 6 Helix or Helix LT Tech21 VTDI or VT Deluxe Afraid I'm not interested in other amps or pedals, just components to put together an IEM rig. Or £750 Cheers Ian
I`ve massively over-spent recently, so am now having a clear-out.
I'm in exactly the same boat (since February I've bought a 2nd ACG, an Orange Terror Bass, a Darkglass M900 and rebought my Barefaced Two10)... Having said that I've never been happier with my gear!

Just popped a set of Bart 9w5's in the post to you Alex!

I've the M900 and Two10. Not played it outside the house yet, but it sounds mighty good to me!
If you look around there are plenty of EoL, reconditioned, B-stock and second-hand Mac bargains to be had. My desktop Mac is a second-hand 2008 3GHz 8-Core MacPro which came complete with 32GB of RAM at a total cost of £350 including delivery.
Where did you find that if you don't mind me asking?

Went in to guitarguitar Glasgow with no intention of buying ANYTHING... Came out after a eureka moment with an M900 having to buy one. Ordered it from guitaguitar online 2 days later!

Scott Devine has done a wee review of this on his youtube channel. Very different from the other DG pedals. I like it!

This story is odd on so many levels... -
Realistically, the limited addition counts for very little in the used market. I'd check on the price of all EVO 3 ABMs, rockmount or otherwise, and go in armed with that. Unfortunately they don't hold their money at all... £300 isn't the highest I've seen, but it's still higher than I think the market will support (i.e. I don't think it'd sell at that money).

Interesting to see that the new Yamaha uses a variation on the Sheehan Attitude 3 neck joint...

Guitar Guitar Glasgow - New Bass Department is Great!
Bigwan replied to Crawford13's topic in General Discussion
I was in mid-March, again before the official opening. Paul was a star. No pressure sales and still managed to convince me to buy a Darkglass M900 (didn't walk out with one but mail ordered it from guitarguitar after the fact). He also has me lusting for a Nate Mendel P-bass even though I already have 3 more than excellent P-basses at present.... Man's got skills! -

Saw that bass. I still kick myself daily for passing one of those (although the non-lacquer version) up at £350 in crack converters Belfast a couple of years ago...
Thanks! That is an odd oversight in the design.
Yes and no. It's been a judgement call in the design process. To add the handy amp-charge feature they've had to compromise on using the unit with guitars/basses with active pickups. I'd assume there are far proportionally fewer active guitars than active basses, and we all know Line6 kind of stopped worrying about the bass market YEARS ago.
-
What is the problem with active basses you are referring to?
One of the features of the G10 is that it can be charged by plugging it into one of the Line6 wireless equipped amps (very fancy!), via the ring and sleeve of the stereo jack plug. But that would cause issues with active basses as the active circuit is switched on by inserting a mono jack into a stereo socket, whereby shorting out the ring and sleeve connections, completing the battery's path to ground. The G10 transmitter has a stereo plug which doesn't complete the battery path, so your active circuit in your bass remains off.
